Is No-Name, the pilot later known as Trowa Barton, really Cathrine Bloom's missing little brother?

One of the filler pages in the Ep0 manga mentions a burn scar on Trowa's back that he doesn't remember how he got. They use this burn scar to link him to Cathrine Bloom's missing baby brother, indicating the scar is proof that he is.

While I have not read a translation of the Ep0 novel, I've heard that Cathrine confirms in the novel that Trowa (our pilot, not Dekim's son, by the way) is actually her brother, Triton. I'm curious as to how she confirms this... especially when every shot of Trowa from the back where he's not wearing a shirt doesn't show a scar (even the one in the Ep0 novel!).

Any ideas? Is there really a scar? Or is that a myth?

Well if you really think about it, Trowa got the scar when he was a baby.

Now, my sister got a scar on her forehead when she was really little. It seemed large at the time but as she grew older it grew less noticable.

Perhaps Trowas's scar did the same thing and it got smaller or less noticable as he grew up. Only people who knew where to look would notice it.

I think they may just have not informed Mr. Kanbe (the artist for EZ and the EW novel) about the scar, which lead to his not drawing it.

But yeah, for an in-world explanation, Jaqueline's sounds pretty reasonable.

Yeah I pretty much agree. I think Trowa really is Triton... but that's just my pathetic hopefulness. XD

I've heard the scar story also, but since I can't confirm where it's actually from I don't use it much in arguments concerning Trowa and Catherine. I heard he got the scar in the fire when the carriage exploded, but then of course Catherine would have no knowledge of that scar.

But then the EZ manga makes it perfectly clear though it doesn't come right out and say Trowa is Triton. The transformation from baby Triton lost in the field to Noname the mercenary boy is very clearly illustrated. I voted for absolutely no doubt on this question! It's both ironic, sweet and a nice echo of the Relena/Milliardo long-lost sibling storyline.

Oh, I'm not saying by any means Trowa isn't Triton. I'm a firm believer in the hints that have been dropped in various places that he is.

But, the idea of it fading and shrinking over time does make sense and also does happen as with my own personal experiences with scars. I think Jaqueline's theory is pretty sound.

Certainly works for me to develop in future fanfiction. *grin*

*nudges Sailor*I want to see when you're done with that.

But, Trowa as Trinton. It makes sense and there are hints dropped in Episode Zero. It really depends how one wants to take it. A HUGE coinsedence or maybe truth.

It's all fan speculation due to the fact no one is telling us. *shrug*

Hee... I'm still working on it, Hazel. Have been for over 6 years. sweatdrop

Did you guys know that Animerica published information that Trowa's initials (being the same for both names, TB) are a tribute to Tim Burton?

Man, I wish I had bought that issue. I stood there in the comic store reading it for half an hour. It had what the uniforms and costume designs were based off of and how it related to the character and the organizations... it had information on the pilots... it had...

Maybe I can find it online and order it... O.O

Oooo... *goes searching*

It might even have something on the scar...

I agree that Trowa is probably Triton. It seems to be implied by Episode Zero with that little transition scene. The initials are also the same, which in series is usually not a coincidence.

However, I also agree with the comment that Catherine should not have knowledge about an injury her younger brother received in the attack that separated them. Plot hole?

Well, I haven't seen the translation of the novel, which is where it's mentioned. I don't know if Cathrine actually mentions it or it's brought up in narration.

Besides, still haven't seen yours. *smirk*

But, yeah... some of it is. I don't know if people consider the novel fanon or canon.

Alright, alright.... I'll give you the link.

I think it's between. It seems canon in spots and not in others. *stares at GW manga* I need to reread it.

I'll have to dig up my Manga. But I have 2 versions of the E.Z. Manga one in individual chapters and then the manga book form. I'm pretty sure at the end of each book they give a little tidbit about each of the boys in relation to the series...

I'm almost positive they mention that Trowa is really Triton.

Yeah... they do... sort of.

See, in the Ep0 manga, they had those blurbs at the end of each 'chapter'. Each blurb had information on the person highlighted in that particular one. The one about Trowa is one of the first places I heard about the scar. However, it was never actually mentioned in the manga itself... only in the blurb.

What I would like to see is a translation of the novel itself, because I'd like to see if someone mentions it in dialog or it's brought up in narration.
