its so sad that there aren't more gaanaru people. but I suppose once the
kazekage gaara story ark (or the end of the fillers xp )
comes to the anime (soon people, febuary ish *squee*) it will probably gain some popularity.
on a completely side note, and probably better to be completely ignored:
I mourn the fact that they are finally sticking the sand squad into a filler. crying (upcoming filler episode. people who watch it on toonami, just ignore that, its airing in japan)

And I agree, there isn't enough GaaraNaru out there. I don't understand it. Gaara is really hot, no doubt about that. Do the doujinshi makers just hate him? Is he too hard to draw because he doesn't have eyebrows? But yeah, after the rescue Gaara arc, I'm sure the next trend in the yaoi fandom will be GaaraNaru...finally.

yes its true, at the end of episode 215, when its playing previews for the next episode, it talks about the sand squad... temari... gaara... etc. you even see some animation of them. so tragic. I guess it was only a matter of time before they ran out of bad short term story arcs and had go and mess with Sunagakure too.
I think the reason why there aren't so many doujinshi's featuring gaanaru or just gaara is simply because of popularity. the sasunaru population is stifling. and in addition, gaara right now in the anime (and kinda even now in the manga) still appears to be a side character, kida like kiba or neji (no offense I love them both very much, but you've got to say im kinda right about that).
am I allowed to post pretty much the same thing in two threads? *ponders* oh well , it dosen't really do any harm anyway! biggrin

You realize the next, and last, filler arc has the sand siblings in it? And some cute guy that Gaara seems to be hanging around with? ^^ As much as the fillers annoy me, some are pretty good, and filler yaoi isn't bad either. The last arc made me squee, I was spazzing over Menma/Naruto ^^ Come on, they were sharing a bedroom XD And Naruto was crying over Menma!! T.T
