Heh, nice and completely unbiased poll. Because only people who have never heard of them could possibly not like them... rolleyes
On the other hand... I don't dislike Slayer. I maintain that Reign in Blood was a great album, as was Seasons in the Abyss and my personal fav, Hell Awaits. But I think their lacklustre output of late have aligned the metal masses against them, and it's high time they produced another stunning thrash album to prove to the world that they're not really has beens.
That said, I haven't actually heard their new album. Has anyone got it? Care to give an opinion as to whether it is the return to form people have been waiting for?

i do like slayer but the best metal band ever is a bit to much i think

I really like their God Hates Us All album and my favorite songs would have to be Exile, Scarstruck, and Payback...

I used to be really into them, then their music kinda got boring after listening to all of their albums.
But i still like them.
I hate the "Undisputed Attitiude" album, Its too... I dont know "Punkish" if you will.
Reign In Blood, God Hates Us All, Seasons In The Abyss are their best albums in my opinion.
I dont think the new CD is that good, there are some good songs on it but not the majority of it.

To me SLAYER is Teh best band period, but that's because their my fav band, and anyone who thinks otherwise knows what they can do to themselves(you know, its a thrashead thing!) To those who got turned off a bit by the God Hates Us All Album, the new album brings old Slayer to life again, along with some new elements.
Reuniting with their original drummer Dave Lombardo, their back to that blazing boisterous in you face thrash/speed assault we all know and love about SlayeR. Of course, Dave, while not being present for the GHUAll album, he still decided to put a song in the new album that has the feel of that particular record, for those who really digged Exile,Payback, Bloodline and the sort.
Crushed bones to those who may disagree, but SlayeR is here to stay,and they will be the best among the rest for YEARS to come... twisted .

oh slayer kicks a**. definitely my second favorite metal band. Celtic Frost literally changed my life, but after them comes slayer.
favorite songs? oh lots. criminally insane, angel of death, south of heaven, mandatory suicide, spill the blood, dead skin mask, seasons in the abyss, etc
