My dad and I somehow got around to the topic of Jonathan Larson's childhood life. I said that I knew was the he was Jewish and born in White Plains, NY (if I'm wrong feel free to correct me - i got the info from the wikipedia).
Dad: he was Jewish and had gay friends right?
Me: yea. I only know the name of one, but-
Dad: did he ever go to summer camp?
Me: ... what?
Dad: I remember bunkmating with a tall, Jewish kid with brown curly hair named Jonathan from White Plains, NY when I was 13 at camp
Me: was his last name Larson?
Dad: I don't remember.
Me: What about his parents? Do you remember their names?
Dad: no... but he had this one friend he always hung out with this one kid named Fred.
Also:
He heard the song 30/90 from TTB and said that he was the same age as Jonathan - he turned 30 in 1990!
COULD MY DAD HAVE BUNKMATED WITH JONATHAN LARSON?
This info made me excited so I wanted to tell all my RENTfriends. ^.^

THAT'S AWESOME. Isn't it funny how that works out? Like I defiently played tball on the same team in first grade as two of my best friend from high school that I didn't meet again til years later.
Same thing, only your dad's situation is infinatly cooler.

I don't know if it's true - it's just a possibility. I wonder if we could contact his parents and ask...
Try showing him a picture or watch the bio on the DVD- he had a pretty distinct appearence so I imagine he'd be hard to forget.
