I would just like to know what others thougth of the ending of eureka seven.

It was a great ending;however 2 major issues keep it from being perfect

1)The episode itself needed more of a closing feeling. Just having them return to earth and half the shell of the earth being taken away kinda leaves you wanting more

2)The whole 1 year later bit and Renton and Eureka not returning yet kinda makes you want even more in addition to point one thus prompting for a movie which they will never make cry

scream I say make a movie

the picture is supposed to be drawn by one of the kids, so it shows that they did return to bellforest and lived there happly.

I liked the ending. Okay, I LOVED the ending. It ended well, but there were still things unanswered. Like, what happened to Talho and Holland, the Gekko State, Anemone and Dominic, everyone?! I know Eureka and Renton are okay. But still, so many questions left unanswered.

I heard that they were making an episode 51. It might be an alternate ending though. See, watch this. I know it's not the right place, but it tells you something.

Read the comments on bottom, because they have some useful information, too.

Actually there was two things that really bothered me about the ending of the series.

1. What did Dewey tell the Aghea Kids. In episode 49 you hear him say something to them and the words aren't there. You get the impression it's his last instructions for them. It's the kind of thing that could really be important if you planned to say... make a movie or second series with those kids in it.

2. The cover of the final DVD. It shows two children, a boy and a girl. The boy has wings like Eureka. You get the impression that they are the children of Renton and Eureka.

These two things could be used to make a wonder story.

Oh, they said that. Misha scolded Talho for rough housing with Eureka on the bed. Eureka said something about Talho's baby and Misha very directly said that Eureka was capable of bearing children.

Yes, The children of Renton and Eureka. You know they're gonna raise three already and they haven't even reach 19 yet.

If Renton was the sacrifice king and Eureka was a Corallian princess. What would that make there children? Yep, royal reffing rebels.

So let me present one more question, how many years do you think pass through out the series? i would say almost 2 but i have no evidence.
PostPosted: Fri Dec 15, 2006 1:14 pm

If you count the final episode and how it skips ahead another year then it's 3 in all. Plus on the adoption papers Axel's reading from a year ago it says Renton was 16.

So by the whole end of the series, Renton is 17 and Eureka is either 17 or 18. This makes both old enough in some terms to have kids.

OK heres the timeline:

Start of Eureka Seven: Renton is 14
End of Eureka Seven: 1 year after end of series, Axel has adoption papers from a year ago that have Renton at 16

So, 16-14=2 years + the 1 year afterwards gives us 3 years so Renton is 17 and Eureka is well as far as I can tell 18 from when she was 'awakened'
I think that sets them in legal paramaters for cough~intercourse~cough
