The producers decided to end it there beacuse keep catching up with the manga, and then they have to make more filler episodes until more manga is realeased. Out of 167 episodes about 40 of them are filler, which leaves only 128 episodes of actual plot. That's a lot of filler, not as bad as Naruto but it's still a lot. So they decided to end it there, for the sake of our sanity.
The manga isn't even done yet so there's no ending yet.

the final episode was soooo dissapointing, it could have been way better, it was like every other episode! crying i hope they make more but now im watching the movies!

YA i agree they should mak more.....cause i read this ending after ending thing and it told what happens in all the CH lives.... like Songo & Miroku, Inuyahsa & Kagome....ect.....

The ending TOTALLY sucked! I at least wanted to see them kill Naraku or something... Or get InuYasha to become human for Kagome... Or Sango and Miroku to finally get married... AHHHH!!! I am going to go insane if they don't make more!!! I need stimulation!!! Coffee isn't good enough!! AAHHHHHH!!!! scream
