So is there anyone else who does Jrock cosplaying? Or am I the only one? If not post some pictures and tips (mainly about the hair).

Awesome Diru cosplay! Kyo Makeup FTW! I've always wanted to cosplay Kyo's outfit in Yokan but I've never gotten the chance to. XD;; Well, here's my only J-rock cosplay. Kinda lame if you ask me. XD;  L'arc~en~ciel! Last minute costume... so everything looks kinda ghetto. Also planning to cosplay Bou from Antique Cafe in the coming year. XD

Me and Jutsu Amasaki (that's her Gaia name. She's part of the guild, too.) are cosplaying as Kyo and Die, and we might get a Shinya to tag along.

So, my suggestions are...
TRY HARDER.
Take a pair of scissors, cut that tie into ribbons, tease your hair to obtain the "poof" of DeG J-Rockers, and... Well....
Don't apply makeup for the safety pin effect. Terrible. I suggest a THIN layer of pencil eyeliner applied to the inside of the bottom rim of the eye (if you know what I mean- don't so poke your eye out.) then use liquid on the top, THIN layer, extend past the corner of your eye in the SLIGHTEST, then add a small point to the other end of your eye.
Add a rip to your striped shirt, right shoulder, then get according bottomwear for Cage. I suggest a pleated black skirt and tight, vinyl/pleather pants. If not, just tight black.
Unless you can get better than that.

Maybe I might go to MY local convention without my imaginary tail between my legs...

Dir en grey are pretty popular now~ and Kyo has this distinct look with his blonde hair and freaky eyes. (It'd be totally awesome of you got those contacts btw) XD Are you going to have a group?
