December's coming, so our guild newsletter should be on its way as well.
If any of you would like to contribute a piece of art, a comic, an article, or anything you can think of to December's issue, then state it here and it shall be discussed! I still don't know what Ailinea thinks of the idea for sure, but we do already have one members lined up for a section on cryptids. Anything at all that's animal-related - I don't see why we wouldn't put it in. Go for it.

I could write an article about the panda baby boom (when all of those baby pandas were born)!

I could write an article of some sort on a rare and interesting bug species. I can do the Bombadier Beetle, which attacks with an explosion of chemicals it keeps in its body, for example.

I got this the other day: Kitamaru Ailinea Kitamaru Hi, Ailinea. :3 I received the guild notice that we're going to start receiving newsletters, and I'd be more than willing to help with anything if you need me to. Let me know if there's anything I can do. heart
Kitamaru Wow, that's so awesome! Thanks for the PM, and we'll definitely contact you when we get closer to the newsletter. Thanks a lot of the help! Do you have any suggestions for the newsletter at all? Actually, if you guys are interested, I think it would be a good idea to put a little insert in the newsletter for any petitions that can be signed online to go towards animal welfare. I particularly pay attention to the ASPCA newsletters for activism, which encourage people to send letters (online, and half-way pre-written) to their state/local government representatives. Another organization such as this is the Defenders of Wildlife organization (www.defenders.org). This asks that you simply add your name, anonymously or otherwise, to current petitions that benefit animals and link to other causes as well, such as human rights, and environmental protection. If you need any further information, leave me a PM. whee I'm registered with both groups, so I receive e-mail alerts if there's action being taken. heart Everyone else's ideas sound great. Feel free to PM your article to me, and I'll incorporate it into the newsletter when the time comes. Thanks so much for your help everyone. ^^

Ailinea Everyone else's ideas sound great. Good then. Skeksis I could do something on Mustelids if you're really desperate for articles>.< Could I take a raincheck on that for January's issue? Forever_Funny I could write an article about the panda baby boom (when all of those baby pandas were born)! Excellent.
Five-hundred to one-thousand words would be a nice size. Just round it off, I guess. As long as it's not ridiculously short or long, we won't have a problem with it. Aufstandkind I could write an article of some sort on a rare and interesting bug species. I can do the Bombadier Beetle, which attacks with an explosion of chemicals it keeps in its body, for example. How would you like to have a monthly bug column to yourself?

Poodle Crusader How would you like to have a monthly bug column to yourself? No problem, I'll never run out of things to say about bugs. I just PMed my article to Ailinea and if you want a copy I can send it out to you. Before deciding to impliment a monthly column it'd be a good idea to make sure my writing isn't too boring xp

Ailinea has received your article, Aufstand! She skimmed it for a second, and hasn't had time to thoroughly read it, but she liked what she saw! She thanks you for your submission!
The reason I'm having everyone PM their articles to her is because this inbox is still constantly being filled with spam. I will admit though, that since sending the last PM and warning continuing offenders, that the spam traffic has slowed down! It makes me so happy.
I suppose I could still have articles sent here and save them so they don't get buried and accidentally removed because of a full inbox. It would probably save some time, too, when the time comes for releasing the newsletter.
I can't wait to see this first newsletter come out! I'm currently working on a template we can use and show it off to everyone to see what opinions and suggestions you might have. I hope to see a nice newsletter banner in the future (Ooh, a contest we can run, Forever_Funny!) and article submissions and possibly contests. I'm so excited about this.

Nanara666 hm... I guess I'm kinda late... but I could write an article on the fur trade... The newsletter hasn't been sent yet, if I'm not mistaken.
But I think we'll save that article until January next year, if that's fine with you.
Speaking of the newsletter being released, when are we going to get around to that? I'll ask Ailinea.

This is just a test for the newsletter template... just checking to see how it looks. Comments and feedback are appreciated! If you feel like you would like to add on to this, please do so, and show us your finished product! I want to get this out by the week's end, so I hope some good ideas will come out quickly. I'm assuming the article template will just repeat itself for the next article, except the next title might be right aligned. Who knows; I'm sure as the months go on, we'll develop some prettier and more effective methods of newsletters. As far as I know, the only article I have is Aufstandkind's, unless you'll be submitting one too, Poodle. I'll be writing an article or so on the updates and goings-on of the guild, as well as a synopsis of the guild for those who haven't really visited the guild in a long time or ever. So the following is the template test: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Animal Lover's Guild Monthly Newsletter Title of Article HereAuthor's NameThe text of the article will go here. It will be justified, and in smaller font than the default, so that it's a little easier on the eyes. This paragraph is basically just a filler for text to get to see what the actual product may look like. The article will, of course, be longer than this small paragraph, but at least we can get a general feel for it. I'm very much looking forward to the articles we have in store! We can also incorporate pictures into articles, if provided, and align left or right to the text. Pictures are awesome, lend substance to the article, and have a more professional feel. I highly encourage some visual representation. Also, some places will be linked, of course, for those threads that will be discussed in the newsletter, if any, such as contest threads. Filler done.

I suppose you could add a small contents section, but I understand that there isn't too much space to go around.
That's up to you.
I wouldn't mind writing an article (perhaps on the Sims 2: Pets?), but you'll have to give me a release date for the newsletter first. I'll see if I can make the deadline.

Well, finals are coming up, so how about Friday of next week? That would be... the 15th of December. Is that alright?
Ooh, I know one section I (Ailinea) would like to write... perhaps a small short story on each of Gaia's animals, like the Momo, Kiki, etc! One story per month. I may or may not get around to this, but I need something to write! Iono, tell me what you think!
