I’m just a darker shade of pale
Different than the rest of you
But in reality just the same
Shunned because I’m unalike the rest
But accepted because we’re all the same
The yin mixes with the yang
But still stays separate
Never ultimately bonding
Left alone while surrounded by friends
Who yearn for compliance
But never truly get it
A darker shade of pale
Always compared
All you children of the dark
Who won’t accept a person
Because they don’t always look or act
JUST LIKE YOU
One in a million
Not one of you
Shunned by children of the light
Left in the shadows
To be taken by the unknown
Lost forever
Just a darker shade of pale
To be used and disposed of
As if just a wrapper on your dark makeup
No longer needed
Useless to you

What does love really mean?
Is it just a word we use, time after time?
No, love is different.
It is the gentle wind in the trees,
The warm sun on the grass,
The soft clouds in the sky.
It’s the beautiful stars that shine,
The delicate flame that glows,
The light, soothing rain on your skin.
Love is something we feel, not say.
Its not a word we should abuse, though often we do.
It’s a glorious feeling that should not be taken away,
but can be.
But, what do you do,
When all hope is gone,
All love is lost,
And you’re left alone,
And empty……
