Ok, I noticed the lack of activity in the guild lately. What's up? I understand that school and work get in the way... Are we going to have more activity over the hoilday season?
Anyway, I'm planning a Fanfic Contest for December. Oreasa was generous enough to donate 10k which will be used towards prizes. Now, it's up to you to decided the contest theme and what prize you want. Mind you, I'll be one of the judges so no yaoi or shounen-ai and the stories must be one-shots.
What theme would you guys like for our fanfic contest in December?
Note: Tell me if you want to judge or compete because being a judge automatically disqualifies you. You can submit multiple entries but you must pay 100 gold for every story you enter. Trades will be sent to me for the betterment of the guild.

Can I be a judge!! I think maybe since it's a December contest that maybe the theme should be Christmas or New Years. Those seem to be popular around this time of year.

BTW, I think you should at least allow shounen-ai if not yaoi, many GW fans write the genre and I think if we're truly open-minded here it wouldn't hurt to have it. Just specify no lemons! I've been on the other end of that reverse discrimination, yaoi-only contests and such, and I think it's rather annoying and unfair. It is your contest Une, but as the leader of the group that includes all fans you should consider this. I personally don't care for the stuff but I will defend its right to exist.

Sure, you can judge as long as you don't have an entry. I'm thinking of having a poll wherein you vote for your fave story so everyone can have their say but the judges will send their opinions to me via PM and that'll have an impact too.

They should have either a lot of GW's politics going on, like you did with Gundam Fantasy, not just have the characters to have the characters. No OOCness unless the characters are within another character's dream in with character warping is allowed to a certain extent. In AU's I'd like if the characters' pasts stay close to the same or very similar, as to not change their personality drastically. But, Lady has the fnal call on all of this seeing as how it's her brain-child.

Yeah...I have to admit, I haven't been on the guild in a LONG time...I'm sorry but school, family and lots of other stuff keep getting in the way. However, I'll be sure to come in a lot more!
AND I LOVE this idea! I kinda want more specific details on the types of fanfics and ratings. I like writing stuff with at least a little lip action...so most likely T+ to M? also what genres? Also, I'm so glad they're only one-shots! ^_^ I love doing one-shots! PLUS I think I might have the upper hand since it's not yaoi and I know your fave couple. heheh ^_^ Oh and how will we submit them? Gaia? Links?

Is it in bad form to compete in my own contest? I'll resign as judge since shonen-ai content will now be permitted and it goes against my beliefs. Oreasa, would it be fine if I pass responsibility to you? We need at least ten entries and five judges. Judges cannot compete. You may submit multiple entries. How does that sound? I'll fill you in on more details as time goes on. Deadline should be December 20. How does that sound?
