I just got Amon Amarth : With Oden On Our Side, I am extremely satisfied. I had been looking for this CD since it came out. I got the only copy in Walmart at my hometown. It has many great songs, especially track 5 Gods of War Arise.

Amon Amarth's new album IS amazing. Out of all the new albums out this year, it's a solid third for me. (Following Borknagar's Origin, Blind Guardian's A Twist in the Myth). It's definitly their best since Once Sent From the Golden Hall. I still don't own it..Sadly. I gotta get to the local record store sometime soon to get that and Angra's new album.

Amon Amarth are one of those bands I've never heard, but have been meaning to check out forever. They're kinda folk/viking metal, right?

They're kinda folk/viking metal, right? Nope. Melodic Death. No such thing as Viking Metal either. >__>

I have very high praise for that album and I'm seeing them on the 17th of December with Children of Bodom, I don't like Children of Bodom very much though.
So I'm only going inorder to see Amon Amarth.

Well actually, I live in montreal, Quebec, Canada. Their upcoming shows are on december 18th and I'm going with my friends. I can't wait to see them with children of bodom smile .

yeah, they're tourin California with CoB and I can't go, because I won't be 18 by then and I can't stay overnight at a hotel.
I could sleep in my car, but a girl alone in a car at night in Los Angeles, is a bad bad bad bad idea.
and LA is about an 8 hour drive.

Aww man i just saw this thread as im listening to Wih Oden On Our Side. truly one of the greatest albums of all time that i have ever heard. as i listen, the music paints a vivid picture in my head of gory viking battles and berserkers charging their enemies.
Great Band, in my opinion twisted
