My first impression when joining this guild is that it would be full of mainstream girly gamers, but now that i see some of the posts, some of you arent that bad. Im just wondering how many of you ladies are hardcore. Now by hardcore i mean, playing games that don't get all the media attention (killer7 for example), hard games, knowing gaming news, playing games people wouldnt expect girls to play etc...
So yeah, how many of you think you are hardcore?

Most of the games I play would probably be considered mainstream, but I have something like 10 games I'm switching between at the moment. It's hard to keep that up, plus getting online for some good ol' web surfing. So... yes in that I play a lot of games a lot of the time, no in the criteria of lesser well known games.
Currently playing:
FFXI
AdventureQuest
DragonFable
FF8 on PC (So I can finally do the ChocoboWorld stuff)
Dungeon Siege II
Sacred/Underworld
Civilization 4
Final Fantasy X-2
StarOcean 3 (with the Fiance - he plays, I help him figure it out)
Plus some new ones I don't remember the names of right now. (New to me, not necessarily new releases)
Definitely not much in the way lesser known games there.

Well its not like im saying hardcore gamers dont play the mainstream ones, it was more along the lines of realizing they are out there and checking them out. Like for example: a mianstream gamer would probably not even realize all the diferent kinds of games there are, they might think mario, jak and ratchet are the only platformers out there. It was an extreme example but hey lol

Me, a hardcore gamer? My whole life. I'm more of the retro game type, still have a SNES that works good with some sweet games on it. I also have music from the games I like, not downloaded, but actually hunted down the soundtrack and bought it.
Here's some of what I've done RECENTLY:
~>Silent Hill 1 & 2 (ps1, ps2; have music)
~>Fatal Frame 1-3 (ps2)
~>Illusion of Gaia (snes; have music)
~>Earthbound (snes)
~>Final Fantasy 3/6 (snes; have music)
~>Parasite Eve (ps1; have music)
~>Baldur's Gate 2 (pc)
~>Unreal Tournament 2004 (pc)
~>Ninety-Nine Nights (360; want music)
~>Super Castlevania IV (snes)
And those are only the ones I felt like mentioning. ^^ I didn't feel like finding the full list today. Hehe...

I'm still trying to figure out what the purpose of this thread is.....I mean are just asking what people are playing lately? Or do you want to know what games we all play? If it's the latter one, well then that question is kinda of stupid when you could probably get that answer from what threads are on the first page. Just thought I'd throw my two cents in.... xd

I wouldnt really call it bragging as much as crazyness. I mean i know a person that walked an hour to an eb games just to take a picture of a wii poster. As far as Master Quest goes.. Im not sure thats the hardest challange a gamer will ever face, but for some people i suppose it is. Depends on which types of games people are best at.

Going by that, I'd be a mid-level to hardcore gamer. I spend a great deal of time playing games, but I'm not necessarily very good at them. I'd certainly never rank in the top, say, 1000 in anything. But I play for me, not whatever 'bragging rights' certain people may have attached to specific goals in games. Does that make me any less of a hardcore gamer?
Right now I have more games than I have time to play. redface And I just keep buying more. I'm a bit of a collector as well as a player, I guess.
