Once again, a lone Malu strode along the dark hallways of the heart of the temple. There were few windows in these corridors, leaving one to navigate in neary total darkness. It was here where Chael hoped to find more answers about the elluding sublevels of the temple, where it was told unspeakable danger awaited. Yet this wasn't a warning to listen to for the arctic Malu. Thayne and himself were to explore these mysterious reigons of the temple...and they would once they found the enterance.
Squinting softly in the darkness, he noticed a light up ahead and began to quicken his pace towards it. Being in the dark for some while, it hurt his cerulean hued eyes to suddenly see the light...yet it faded in a moment or two. Blinking lightly as he came upon an arch doorway to a garden...he was suprised at what he saw. In this garden, the trees and plants were cramped together so tightly, it appeared as if he couldn't even get in. It was even worse than the jungles outside the temple.
"Wow...."
Chael breathed out, stepping down of the smooth cobblestone and onto the grass, mere inches from the dense pack of forect before him. What could be in thre? Or better yet, how was he -going- to get in there?

A impish grin, full of mischief, appeared upon Tailan's maw as she stole silently behind the other. Gliding over the cool stones beneath her feet, she was the shadow, following its master. Her alert eyes scanned the path before her, straining in the dim light to see any obstacles that stood in her way. There was nothing; nothing except a few pieces of broken pebbles littered here and there, which she gracefully and quietly lept over.
It was a long story how she found herself here, in this ancient temple, following behind a strange Malu. Tailan eventually found herself staring into the same streaks of sunlight that had so temporarily blinded her predecessor, and was too without sight for a moment. Though she complained not, and after a minute, silently trampled her way just behind the door way that led outward into the opening. Thus positioning herself, with her body hidden and only her head in view, the cream colored female waited.

It was a fault of Chael's that when he was so absorbed in exploration he rarely noticed anything else. His newly aquired 'shadow' was a prime example of this fault. Eyes scanned the froliage before him, eagerly searching for a way in, or anything for that matter. Taking a nimble step forewards, he poked his muzzle in various bushes to observe when he found it...a way in. Grinning in triumph, he quickly squeezed himself through the bush and dissapeared onto the other side.
It seemed in this dense jungle that the only way to get aound would be to walk along the thick high rising roots...unless one was small enough to fit under them; which he was not. Although slick with the moistened moss, flezing out his small claws on his forepaws the white-blue Malu began to scale the root paths, eyes wandering around his surrounding with fascination.

The cream colored female, needless to say, followed close behind, sporting a cheeky, devilious grin. It was strange, in a way, that she stilled had not been discovered yet. Yet Tailan relished the suspense of being the shadow, and as time was ticking away, began to grow bold.
She probed gently the area where she had seen the former disappear through, her nose taking in the delicate scent of fresh, lush foliage. It was quite a thick blanket of green before her, and after finding the small opening to which the other had disappeared through, Tailan herself followed suit. First prodding through with her head and her two front paws, the creamed colored female then wiggled the rest of her body through; it was a tight fit, even for the slender built female.
She now tip-toed up behind the one she had followed all along, growing rather impatient at being ignored. Standing silently behind the strange Malu, with a sheepish grin upon her face, Tailan waited for her inevitable discovery.

"How strange...For something so massive to be hidden like this. I wonder how old this temple is to have such a section like this..." Taking a blind step foreward as his head remained tilted to the sky, it seemd inevitable that he was going to slip...and that he did. As one paw slipped over the edge, the other three seemed to loose their grip as they too fell over the sides of the root. His torso slammed into the root as he slid back, yet it wasn't long at all till he bumped into something warm behind him.
Frowning in wonder of what he hit, his head turned to glance over his shoulder when his eyes widened; spotting a pair of radiant eyes looking back at him. "ACK!!" Chael yelped, flailing untill his torso slid off the side of the root and promptly falling in a bed of vines...to which as luck would predict, he got tangled in. Still, his eyes remained locked on the cream hued Malu perched on the root,
"How....how did you...there....when...?"
The arctic Malu stuttered, tilting his head as to how she one, got in here, and two...was directly behind him.

A wave of youthful laughter tumbled forth from Tailan's maw as the master finally noticed the shadow. The cream colored female was rather amused, and needless to say, seeing the other Malu hopelessly tangled up upon the bed of vine he had slid into didn't help the matter either. As was the priceless expression of surprise she caught that had for just a moment lingered on the other's face; it was almost worth the time spent slinking behind the other, fighting back the impulse to jump forth.
"I was following you of course, silly!" Tailan responded to the other's sputterings. "And to think, all this time, you didn't even notice." Another wave of giggles broke loose and the creamed female contended herself on leaping a top of the slippery moss covered stone that the other had stood upon moments ago. She looked down to him, still tangled in the bed of vines, and after a moment of thought, lept in too.
"Ha," Tailan now mused, "Now we are both stuck!" And after a moment of thought, added, "I wonder how we'll get out." There was no worry in the statement, just as there had been no hesitation in leaping into the bed of vine. For Tailan, everything, including this unruly bed of vine, will sort itself out in due time yet.

Raising a brow up in confusion, Chael wasn't too sure what to think of this new Malu. He didn't get a wearly feeling around her like he did with some Malu for their....strange behaviours...yet it certianly wasn't something he found comforting either. "Following me? Why..?" He blinked, he found it odd he didn't notice. He must have simply been too caught up in the fascinating world around him....and quickly made a mental note to always look behind him from now on.
Yet all of this had little suprise than what happened next, out of her own will....this femme jumped into the vines and got herself stuck as well. So much for his plan to get unstuck. "You're weird, you know that?" Chael chuckled lightly, tilting his head to the side as he struggled slightly against the vines. "The name is Chael....who're you?"

"Oh no reason, really," the female answered with a wave of her paw, as if it mattered little. And to the female it did matter little; she hardly ever did things for reason, and even then it was for a peculiar kind of reason.
Shifting her body so she is resting comfortably in the bed of vine, and bumping into the other quite a few times in the process, Tailan flailed her paws. "Move over would you," the female said while pushing the other away with one free paw in a rather unladylike manner, "You are crushing my leg." Still squirming to get comfortable, Tailan finally settled down on a position that was not too strenuous on her paws.
"Chael eh?" A playful tone could be detected in the femme's voice, "That's a nice name. And I already knew I'm weird, you didn't have to tell me that!" Tailan glanced over at the other, who seemed quite uncomfortable in one way or another. "I'm Tailan," the female nodded, "and I've decided that YOU are a funny Malu." With great emphasize on the 'you' Tailan extended an outstretched paw into the other's face, almost touching Chael's nose. She giggled.

"Hey! You're the one who jumped in here after me, so don't you be complaining about space" Chael whined slightly, as he was pushed slightly over to the side. Unable to retailiate due to his right forepaw and left hind leg were stuck in the vines, he simply laid on his side against a thicker mound of vine to get comfortable. A grin crossed his face as she spoke, turning his head slightly as if in a playful huff.
"I don't know, I thought you could use a reminder." He chuckled, get blinked at the funny comment and sighed in defeat. Shaking his head the malu but on a smile none the less. "That wouldn't be the first time someone called me funny, or funny looking...Hey!" Chael twitched back his head to evade being prodded by the Tailan's paw. "heh, reguardless, Its nice to meet you, Tailan. It matches you...bubbly pelt and personality."

"Why thank you," Tailan beamed at the compliment, even if it was put forward rather hesitantly. "You are not half bad yourself," She said with a playful grin. The cream colored female loved receiving compliments, but then again, don't we all. And in a moment of exuberance, Tailan fluffed ear and wiggled her tail, well hidden from view by the mass of vines that she was now sinking into.
By now Tailan had giving up trying to get comfrotable, seeing as there was no way she could feel the ground beneath, and the vines themselves were much to soft to lend any support. "Say," she nudged Chael, "You do have a plan for getting us out of here, right?" She looked at him expectantly.
Of course he did... he'd better. Because the rambuncous female was quickly getting impatient at the uncoorperating vines, and wished for a way out. And when Tailan wished for something, the impatient little Malu wished for it now.

((Achlys needs some roleplaying away from 'daddy'. This is Aneria btw. I'll probably be spending alot of time in my male account in the near future.))
A rustling not to far away was heard through the vines. Or rather, above the vines. Obviously a creature of some kind that was seeminly standing on a branch several feet above the two malu. But this creatures image was hidden by the many vines and leaves in the way.
A small flame, most likely brought on by mass thought and concentration to a said god flickered and burned a hole in a particularly large leaf. A small childs face poked through and looked down at the two.
Being still a very young baby her eyes were blue, and the rest of her face was black. She had on her ears, paws and tuft of hair went from blue to red. Chael would most likely recognize the baby as the one that had been following Loki around since his reappearance. Loki never spoke about how this child appeared, other than he was certain he and baby weren't blood related.
She looked down at the two of them, through a space in the vines just large enough for her span of vision to make out that there was two of them, one she had met before. She had a devilish look about her and seemed rather the bossy type inspite of the fact she didn't say anything.

"A plan..?"
Chael turned his gaze over to Tailan, brows raised as he sported a rather dumbfounded look on his face. He -had- a plan to get out, that was untill she chose to join him in this tangled mess. Struggling never helped, as they would both end up wound deeper in the vines. What other options did they have?
"Actually...I was hoping -you- would have a plan."
He chuckled sheepishly scratching his head lightly with his free forepaw. Thinking for a moment, his gaze filtered upwards when his eyes widened. "Its you!" He exclaimed, spotting just faintly the small femme Malu loki was taking care of through the cracks in the vine. Did this mean he was around too?
"Hey there little one! Is Loki....Well, Your parent here?" He called out, unsure of She saw him as father, or Knew his name.

"Me?" The cream colored female said with an arched brow, a looking of mocking surprise on her face. He expected her to have a plan? Well, Chael obviously did not know Tailan too well; the cream colored female -never- had a plan and -always- acted on impulse. Life was interesting that way, if not unpredictable at times. It had, however, gotten Tailan into plenty of sticky situations before, and here she was in another one, tangled, literally, in a mess.
"Well," Tailan said thoughtfully, doing her best to ponder on a solution. "I've got nothing," she said after a minute with a sheepish smile. Well, did mattered not; if she was going to be stuck here, atleast Chael was going to be stuck here with her.
Alerted by Chael to a possible other, Tailan quickly turned herself as best as she could, and glanced toward where Chael was now directing his comments. There, high above them, behind a blanket of foliage, was a small face. "Hey there," Tailan waved excitedly, creating considerable commotion in the process and nearly kncocking into Chael, "Who are you?"

She looked down, a small smirk on her face, rather content with that fact they had to look up to see her instead of the opposite which was usually the case. She paused for a moment before speaking. Her voice was, like any childs, high pitched, but the tone of her voice was that of a little girl that knew what she was doing. "Daddy is not here." She said it like it was a statement coming from a villian saying 'No-one is here to help you'. Though after several moments she continued as if she hadn't said anything, and touched her paw to several other leaves, this time they didn't burn, but the supposed heat in her paws made them curl out of her way giving her a larger range to see the two other malu. "My name is Achlys Aithne Alula. Now that you know that, my turn. Snow boy's name is Chael. Caramel however I don't know. Who are you, and why are you here." She looked quizically at them refering to the questions more like statements.

"Tailan! Watch it!" Chael called, as she came dangerously close to sending him over the vinepile as they were still in the air as he could see the ground below. Last thing he wanted was to be tangled and suspended in the courtosey of vines. Giving a sigh of releif as she settled down, his gaze shifted up to the young Maluess, something was also strange about her....she didn't seem like the other children he had met.
Daddy's not here. The words sunk in like bricks, now how were they to get out? Well, they would have to think of a way. "Its nice to meet you, Achlys..." However, he paused when he saw the leaves curl back at the near proximity of her paws. Blinking, the male glanced to Tailan curious if he was just imagining things before looking to his own paws in thought.
