I just need to rant a little and get this out of my system. If you don't agree with me, that's fine but I'm sure there's at least one person in this guild who feels the same way I do. Ok, here goes.
There's this girl I know who recently took a hunter's course to learn how to bow hunt. I was recently, myself, forced to take one of these classes(I hated it; I have no intentions of killing anything). Anyway, last night or early this morning she went out to hunt. She shot a deer with her bow, but it didn't die. So she missed like half of school today to look for this wounded animal.
I asked her if she enjoyed this kind of hunting and she said she really likes it. She aparently likes making animals suffer.
In case you all don't know, when you bow hunt it takes the deer anywhere from two hours up to a day or so for it to die. Basicially it slowly bleeds itself to death. You have to be really good to kill it on the spot.
They searched all day and still didn't find it. They only found a blood trail and part of the arrow that had broken off. Now the animal is going to slowly die in pain somewhere.
I'm sorry, but this disgusts me. If a person did this same thing to a dog they'd be put in jail for animal cruelty. I think this is disgusting and horrible.
I'm sorry this is so long, I just really had to get that out of my system.

AMEN!
I'm an archer, but I've never aimed at anything living in my life.
And if you SUCK, for the LOVE OF ALL THE GODS do NOT aim at ANYTHING.
You can quote me on that. ix-nay on the gods part though.

I have impecable aim with a gun, I wonder how I'd do with a bow... I'd like to try, but not on anything living. Now, if I could put it down in one shot, instantly, then yes, I would hunt.

Yeah, I don't mind hunting with a gun. I mean, bow hunting wouldn't even be bad if you could kill it right off. I just don't like to see animals suffer.
I don't think I could do well with archery; I'm a terrible shot at everything. The only way I can hit something is by NOT aiming at it. rofl

I don't like hunting. Unless it's for those socks that get lost.
Or stalking my pets and picking them up from behind and squeeeeezing them.
Three of my five pet chicks have died because of too much love, too hard. sweatdrop
