The olders Timmys aren't bad at all. Companys have been always keeping the old models update with upgrades, so you don'r gotta really worry about it becoming outta date. They have a wide range of upgrades and are still very easy to get your hands on.
Now the part is do you think you should get a Timmy? If you haven't shot one see if you can go out to your local field and see if someone will let you take afew shots over the chrono or possibly let you use it in a game.
If you can get your hands on an Species go for it. Most people think they are ugly but I think they are nice looking. If it's pretty such bone stock you could throw on some new stuff to make it alittle more up to date.

for me i made my spyder a timmy, i think timmy is just a highly upgraded gun ,like my spyder, new chip valve hammer trigger jam bolt, and barrel, and that rear blow off valve thing, so if u want to make a timmy of ur own just find a gun thats a sleeper, my spyder and keep up with any bob long angle or auto cocker, so.....thing on what ur looking for

you can always be like everybody and buy a tupperware shocker... erm... i mean ion if you havnt done so already.
I have no gripes with timmys, why not go with an alias, they are super sleek and you can pick a nice one up for about five bills on the nation.
