[forenote: i deserve an applause for being coherent enough to type this]
last night i got drunk for the first time, and i had a ditinct and rare feeling that i was just 'simply happy.' i even called my ex-boyfriend and we were talking about stupid junk. my friend was also drunk, much more than me, but she gotangry and started crying. basically, alcohol is a destructive drug, not a stimulant drug, and i wondered about other people who shair my basic ideas, what you think. what do you think of drinking?
ps. i listened to I am the Walrus last night, sometime after my third glass of rum. it made so much sence, i loved it so much.

I don't really like alcohol. If you think about it, if they are making weed illegal, alcohol and cigarettes should be as well. I think alcohol is perfectly fine when consumed in small quantities (it can even be healthy for you). But I really don't like how people think they are so cool and badass because they went and got smashed over the weekend. It's stupid and useless quite frankly. My grandmother was an alcoholic. She used to take my uncle and drop him in the middle of the woods and drive off when she was drinking.
My point is: Alcohol is only good when you don't over due it.

I've always been a kind of non-alchoholy sort of person and I got drunk for the first time over the summer.
Wasn't much for me. Kind of what I always expected. Seems to me that a big reason for getting drunk is to be able to be outward with an excuse to not take responsibilty for your actions.
I dunno, I guess a person can get drunk at young age, or even not, and like it the first time enough to try it again and eventually to build up positive associations with getting drunk and have that as thier medium, but I'd just rather stay sober and play a game of cribbage or go look at the stars. I think it's more worth it to be yourself and share that with others.

To quote the temple of Apollo, "All things in moderation."
Alcohol is a depressant: it's no wonder your friend got angry and began crying.

Definately something to watch your consumption of....I've had to handle too many of my friends' cases of near-alcohol-poisoning, going home with anything that moves and living to regret it, and the consequences of losing the filter between your brain and your mouth. smile I drink as well, but usually only to the happy-buzz stage. Beyond that....meh.

I learned my lesson the hard way. I used to go to parties with my ex-gf and we'd get so trashed that we wouldn't remember a damn thing. It's pretty scary, not knowing what the hell you did for a chunk of time.
I still drink but only to the happy, silly, giddy loveable drunk stage.

I thinking drinking is fine, as long as its done lightly. Getting drunk to lead to things you may regret later. Personally, I can't stand the taste of beer, wine or other alcoholic stuff, but people in my family drink and I"m cool with that.

I rekon it's pretty mad stuff, but since I'll all young... well... 15... I can't buy any, therefore I don't get much. I rekon by the time I'm 25 the awe will have worn off. It's alright to get tipsy or a bit pissed with friends, or all the way so long as someone is taking care of you, but... you don't think straight when under the influence of that stuff, and a lot of ... bad stuff... can happen... so jus take it easy!!! (seriously, take some 10 mins before a really boring class, it's not all bad)
