Godchild is perhaps one of her most famous works in the US, aside from Angel Sanctuary X3
So, I want to discus the references, the connections, the spoilers, so on.
For example...how many of you would have guessed that Cassian, Jezebel's assistant, is actually a 35 year old man? o_O
And Riff is actually named after Riffuel Raffit from the butler in the Rocky Horror Picture Show. And Riff is dead. In the manga. He was brought back to life by Delilah, so he's pretty much warring with himself between his "I-love-Cain" side and his "I-want-to-kill-him" side.
And of course; the names. Cromwell, Jezebel, Cain, etc.

Feel free to discuss more! biggrin Well...they do explain Cassian's backstory pretty early, so there wasn't a lot of guessing needed. It's just another one of Kaori Yuki's genius story lines. I love the Castrato arc <3 Ah...theres the spoilertastic Cain thread where we do some hard core discussion of the metaphors and motifs that Kaori Yuki has used in the series.

Sweeney Todd was this psychotic English barber who murdered his client and with the help of a baker woman, popped them into meat pies.

I love love love the way Kaori Yuki works literature and history into her works, its so much fun to unravel them and it adds an extra layer of meaning to the stories.

He was much more the Abel from the biblical allegory ^_^; (Im still trying to figure out if he has ANY likening to the biblical Jezebel mad )
