Hey guys, a few days ago i heard that people are killing baby seals as a sport or just for there pelts, they dont even use it for food. That is just wrong. To help stop this i dedicated my profile to helping the baby seals, u can go there for more information on the baby seal hunt. I heard about that, i can't beileve they are actually killing seals as a sport. I heard people were spray painted the coats of the baby seal so that they won't be killed. Like this group of people go out and spray paint the baby seals coat purple and ruined the natural color so it's not that pretty anymore. An dthey might not be killed.

Yeah I heard the story too. People don't think before they act...Sometimes I wonder how they would feel if we were killing them for fun. Abusing animals just pisses me off. And the worste part is they're doing it for FUN. That's pretty sad...

But that still does sound pretty cruel. However, it seems to be the best option, if animal products really are essential. But I don't see why they'd bother to go kill them; it's not like fur coats and ivory pianos are in great demand.

Global hunger probably wouldn't be an issue, and we wouldn't have a worry about deofrestation and the resulting habitat loss. Plus, those greenhouse gasses'll probably be gone. That means healthier lungs and cleaner air for all living things on earth, and no more global warming.

I watched the video on that website, and needless to say, I was in tears by the end. I don't undersand how someone can disregard a life and end it so brutally without having their guilt or conscience ripping away at them. To look into those big beautiful eyes and then smash a club down on its head. I just don't get it.
The video explains that these "hunters" do this as an added source of income; averaging about $100 a pelt. I'm sure they can find much better ways of doing this. It's called going out and getting a job. I also read or watched somewhere that the Canada officials say that it's not devastating at all... out of the hundred of thousands of seals that occupy this land area, only a few thousand are killed. Does anyone else think that a few hundred murders in a nation of millions of people matter anymore then? just because it's not human doesn't mean it's not a waste of life. Argh.

I didn't know about it till now but it's so sad and those people just piss me off! Those people wouldn't like it if they were getiing killed instead of the seals. How can killing poor animals be FUN?
