Okay...my ex left me with literally nothing. I lost my family, friends, and my house because he decided that the life we had wasn't good enough. So, he quits his job and leaves, with promises of getting another job to help support our son. He lied a lot and I still don't see why he did because, if I may, if I have to suffer being put in a position where I can't move for better or for worse...then he should be suffering as much as I do. That whole thing reflects on relationships and whatnot.
I didn't have a car, job, or anything...so I lost my house. My mom pretty much says "You did this to yourself so you get yourself out".
I call and tell my mom in law what he did and he lied to her as well. I never AGREED to anything he supposedly had told her. I was arguing with him until I was blue in the face. In the end, I moved 10 hours away from what I call home...and I'm now with his parents with my son.
I want to get back on my feet but I don't know whether to get a job first or to just go with education all the way.

Hmmm, I suppose that depends on a couple of things.
If your in-laws are willing to help you out for a while, I say go to school. Its certainly only to help you in the long run, but make sure they're okay with helping you out that way. Myabe look at a vocational or tech school, not as long a time in school and specialized training for a job you want.
Maybe getting a part-time job to help out your in-laws as well as yourself, if that's plausible with you going to school. And maybe going to school at ngiht is something to consider as well.
I guess ultimately my opinion is for you to go to school in some way. It's only going to help you in the long run.

I know the feeling, I'm in a simalar situation myself, only I'm with my mother and step father (and three siblings) and I have to make the decision to go to school or work soon as well. I have decided that no matter what, I'm going to school this fall, and I'm going to try to work part time as well. I know it is going to be hard, but I don't want my son to be in an apartment or a trailer all his life, and I know if I dont' go to school, then that's all I am going to be able to afford... I don't want my child to grow up poor and I'm willing to do whatever I can to make up for his father's lack of maturity and responcablility. School will only help me better our lives-even though it does mean a lot of hard work for a few years. I figure I'm still young and can work hard, and it'll be easer when I'm older and not so full of energy as I am now.
