How did anyone feel about yuffie as a character within FFVII? Likes, dislikes, random thoughts?

Yuffie's pretty cool. A good girl at heart, a typical teenage girl, and very cunning too. I like her mean sayings and insults too. Her spunk makes me attracted to her (in a non-homosexual way, mind you).

Doesn't seem to me to be any more out of place than threads about peoples' "most liked personality", or "Cleris", etc. And it's not breaking any rules. 3nodding
Yuffie was just about my favorite character, and the reason can be summed up in two words:
Girl ninja.
The main character in my own flagship project is more or less a younger version of Yuffie with a few peculiarities glued on. Even if she was underutilized in Final Fantasy VII, her character model is rather easy to build a compelling story from.

The apprentice of the greatest wizard to ever live... I know a lot of people who hate Yuffie. But I really like her.
Sure...she calls Cid an old man a lot...but she's awesome. xd heart Though I wanted to maul her when she stole my materia. stressed But it was my choice by going to Wutai on purpose for that event to occur. xd rofl
So yeah...she's pretty awesome. Then again, I don't hate any of the main characters or anything. sweatdrop ...And the wizard himself.

Yuffie... The character, along with Vinny, that brought me back to FF7. I absolutely adore her beyond moral comprehension.
I'm a lot like her, and I can really relate to her situation. Not the "Wutai is weak, I need to steal stuff," situation, but her "act your age" situation.
She's got a child-like spirit in her that, at least I believe, will never die. No matter how old she gets, she may act more mature than she is now, as we can see in DoC, but she will always have bursts of her teen years everynow and then.
I really feel like that a lot. I'm expected to grow up, but I want to hold onto my childhood for a few more years. Even when I hit 19.... Keheh
She's awesome

Yuffie is one of the strongest characters in FF7 if you train her right! Everyone finds her useless because she isn't strong in the beginning. I found here very useful.
She was good for comedic relief and is pretty cool looking. Especially because she is a ninja ninja
I found her background story interesting though, not as in-depth as others, but hey, dinkin flicka!

She's humorously immature, which makes for some very funny scenes. And seeing her slowly growing up in some of the scenes adds a bit of novelty to the plot, I think.

to be honest the only reson i ever, bothered getting Yuffie in the game was because shes a requierment, for certain aspects of the game (the sub quest and getting liviathan) and that when it comes to morphing things in to usefull items (eg, ribbons, the guide book, ect). but as far as the story line behind her and her actual charictor i couldn't have cared less.
