The problem with red 13 is that he is one of the main characters in the ff7 series but he is shuned at by society. Like in ff7 advent children. In the whole movie he only said 7 words. cait sith said more words just moning and groning and telling yuffie to shut up. sweatdrop stressed
He is also probably the second most addictive character to use in the game. twisted This speech may sound lame so just discuss him wink 3nodding

I like Red XIII, he doesn't get much deserved attention.
His speaking line in AC, could be special, his voice actor is credited as "Special Appearance". That's special enough right?
But I'm a bit disappointed in DoC, he only appeared ONCE in the game, at the ending FMV sequence.
He should get more credit, though he did have a significant role in FFVII.
(off topic, but I helped get Red XIII in third place in one of the Character Elimination battle... XD)

he was like my favorite character too, which made me so sad and pissed when he had one line, that really was more of a filler line (in the stories i write i give filler lines to those chars who i like less, so sadness!), super lame that he only got one line, pretty sweet with the fight, but super lame

Nanaki is an awesome character, but I think it's mostly Square's fault that he's not very popular. He's introduced to the player during a fast-paced part of the game, which gives him little room for initial character development, which leaves people to judge him by that all-important "first impression". Then, Square seems to have forgotten to give him a compelling link to the story's main events, namely the Reunion and Meteor Crisis. His only reason to stay with the party is the fact that he wants and is able to. After that, his character is generally underused for the rest of the story.
Someone tell me if I've forgotten something. It's been nearly a year since I've played the game. sweatdrop

Well, Red XIII (Nanaki) is the "grandson" of Bugenhagen, the guy who gave vital information to solving the crisis... does that count?

My theory is that Nanaki, as he gets a bit older, becomes deeper, and only really speaks when he has something he deems important to say.

wahmbulance For people who are saying that his voice actor is under special appearences and it counts for something are wrong. If it did count for something his voice actor woud've been in the main cast of characters. gonk

I can't even BEGIN to tell you how angry that got me.
I was watching it with my little brother(who had never played FF7 before) and when he ACTUALLY TALKED my little brother said,"Whoa!He talks!"
HELLO?! My little bro should've been able to figure that out EARLIER but HE NEVER HAD A SINGLE LINE BEFORE THAT!!!

Ugh, I TOTALLY hear you on the whole one line thing. When I heard he had a British accent in the English version I was all kinds of curious to hear how he sounded(I had forgotten from my watching of the bootleg copy he only had one line)so I was SO dissapointed!
Side note: Who else found Cait Sith's Scottish accent to be BEYOND irritating?
