NASCAR found tricked out wheels on the two RCR cars. Personally, I think both of them should be penalized a bunch of points. What do you think? Kevin Harvick and Michael Waltrip say that they're just trying to make up a story. The advantage obviously wasn't that much of a difference, but I think NASCAR should set an example and penelize the RCR cars.

Jayski

If they were they should, but now they are denying it, there is also another thing below that on the link that said before Clint Bowyer got a tire confiscated and talks about how the bleed valve and tricks work.

It's not that I don't like the RCR cars.... I really like the drivers. It's just unfair to the other people that had normal cars.

When I was watching the race, I had this weird feeling that Kevin Harvick was oddly going faster than everyone else...

Right now, NASCAR cant do anything to them cause nowhere in the rules does it say that drivers are not allowed to make that kind of modifacation to their rims. If NASCAR doesn't want people to do what the RCR guys did, there should be a rule put in place for the next time someone does this.

It doesn't matter, the report that they were manipulating the tire rims was false. Nascar has said so, RCR has said so, and several news sites on the net, including Jayski have said so. This is one reporter breaking a story that wasn't true and SPEED went with it.

Even if it was true, RCR shouldn't be penalized. They didn't break any rules, there wasn't a rule that said you can't modify a rim that way. It's like Jimmie Johnson last year with the shocks. When they were discovered, Nascar didn't penalize the 48 team. They did stop them from doing it again and make a rule making the shocks illegal, but no penalty.
