Aikman is better. He had the better team, more championships, and I'd say a better legacy.

Steve Young granted he was good, but he couldn't top anything Troy had... The man still could have played more if it werent for his concussions... And it's a damn shame that he couldn't anymore. He's a damn good QB and should be praised.

Troy was a really great QB and that's not taking anything away from Young, but I think Troy was better.

They were both awesome players, but I do grudgingly admit Troy was better... but not by much. I still like Steve better. He was a great player as well as a great man. Besides, I like his team and I hate Dallas... so yeah.

Wild Heart Aikman is better. He had the better team, more championships, and I'd say a better legacy. you just slaughtered your point there he had the better team making it easier for him to win steve young was better because he was mobile had great presence won when it mattered w/ his team and was a great leader, plus who went to the hall of fame first

Aikman.......but if it was Joe Montana then i would say Joe Montana.......Steve Young is nothing like Joe Montana........plus i think Troy Aikman has won more super bowls then Steve Young.......Aikman all the way

I grew up watching them both.
Aikman has the rings, but he also had that incredible O-Line for so many years-- but he also could NOT take a hit. Steve Young was also able to run the ball a little more.
Aikman 165 games started 2898/4715 (Passing ) 32, 942 yards 165TD 141 int 1,116 rush yards 9 rush TD's 61.5 pass pct%
Young 169 games 2667/4149 (passing) 33,124 yards 232 TD's 107 int's 4239 rushing yards 43 rushng TD's 64.3 PCT %
