Has anyone played the game Magic, The Gathering? I'm a big fan. My goal is to teach Blossom how to play tonight and have her ready for a draft tournament on friday!

Yeah, I don't think I'll be ready for a tournament by Friday. I'll go to watch, and then maybe in a week or 2 (or the next draft one) I'll be able to go to the unknown and buy some cards and make a deck and play. It's a good thing there are so many people in Burger's apartment who can teach me to play (ie - everyone).

I play. Rather frequently.
I usually play a quick-aggro/beatdown deck, or a control/some-obscure-combo deck.

I really do like it, but I think I'd be better at it if I actually sat down and looked through all the cards and read all of what each of them does. The deck I've been using today is an all white deck.

I prefer control decks, but lately since I've been playing only type 2, I've been leaning more towards weenie token decks. I had a red-black aggro deck, but I can't stand playing aggro. Red black is one of my favorite color combinations though. that and black white and blue black.

Getting creatures onto the board and attacking before my opponent can do anything's always been fun for me. whee
Especially with red/black. Jagged Poppet's one of the coolest cards ever.

Ooh, I remember seeing the Jagged Poppet card yesterday while we were playing!

Jagged poppet is second only to the avatar of discord. I like dread slag a bit too though. Avatar of woe is one of my all time favorite creatures though. THere's nothing like a 6/5 that can tap to kill and is hard to block for 2 mana.

I wonder how successful a blue white deck would be. Perhaps I should make 2 decks if I ever get really good. A deck for attack/slaughter and a deck for "strategery".

I really wish Blue Green wasn't as strong as it is, because I can't stand green, even when coupled with blue.

What are the strengths of a red/green deck?

It really depends on how you use them, but red and green decks are usually my second least favorite. I even prefer mono-white to red green.

Orange Blossom What are the strengths of a red/green deck? You get tough creature at weenie-creature casting costs. Besides that, you can also pump the creatures up with stuff like Might of Oaks, Giant Growth, Blanchwood Armor, etc.
And you get direct damage spells with red cards. YOu know, like Shock and VOlcanic hammer and such. 3nodding
I had a red/green metaweenie for awhile, and it did alright, but it gets realllly boring to play.
