he was an idol of mine as well. I love watching Animal Planet where his shows were on constantly ><
Him and Jeff Corwin always being my two faves. Wanted to save up money to visit him in Australia one day..
but he will truly be missed. Anyone that could get people interested back into wildlife definately will be...
He was a terrific icon and of course, a terrific father from what I hear. I only hope his family understands that he died doing what he loved. Still doesn't help he's gone for them..
a stingray of all things..just ironic..not komodo dragons, sharks or vemonous snakes..I think I am still in shock myself...
but yes, he will be missed.

He will be truley missed. Dx I loved his show and jeff corwin too.
He died doing what he loves.
Seriously.. a shot to the heart by a stingray. What are the chances of that.
I know I was miss him. He was my fav. wild life person I loved watching his shows. He just seemed like such a normal down to earth guy with a zest for living and love that went beyond reason when it came to anaimals, and you allways could see the love in his eyes when he talked about his kids and wife. I will greatley miss him. RIP
They said it was the only 4th recored death from a sting ray!
