I think a lot of the people in the avatar arena are dough brains. To me it seems like they're all thinking, "If they don't use a lot of high priced items (or if it isn't disgustingly disturbing) I'm not going to give it anything more than a 5." I mean really, not everyone on Gaia has millions of gold just sitting there waiting to be used. And then there are the people who go, "Seen it before.", "No more cosplay!", "I've already seen 5 avatars as Vince Valentine today. I give you 1/10." Big deal! It's bound to happen.
When I'm voting I don't think, "Wow, I've seen this same black and red theme like a million times. 1/10." it's more along the lines of, "Hey, those items actually go really good together. A lot of thought must have been put into this. 7/10!"
Blargh. I don't know. That's the reason I decided to never enter my avatar, people downrate for everything and are really rude too! "I don't know what the theme is, DOWNRATE!", " blah blah blah. I think when people comment it should be constructive, in a nice-ish way instead of just saying a bunch of rude things. Instead of just saying, "It's pathetic. People should stop with the damned cosplay s**t." why not put something like, "I don't really like it, but I think it might look better with insert item name here, or a different hairstyle." blah blah

people just have seemed to fit their own little cliques and trends in Gaia too. Weird? Like. If you something rather different. You get critisized or flamed. It's stupid. -.-

The thing is people don't take the time to look or really care. Just like in real life, I can go out with my pink hair and mothers will pull their children away like I'm going to eat them or something. It's more or less how it is. They may not feel big and strong in the real world when it comes down to it as well. Hence making someone else feel bad makes them feel a little better inside. -shrugs- Personally I stay out of such things but if I see someone who has an avvie I think is the sex or that it rocks my socks off, I'll tell them so.

And if I had kids and someone with pink hair walked by, I'd be like, "look kids! Isn't that COOL?" Then they'd roll their eyes and be like, "Mom, that is so early 21st century!"

Then they'd roll their eyes and be like, "Mom, that is so early 21st century!"I've been having short hair since like. I was in 3rd grade. And it's cause my hair has always been EXTREMELY dry and frizzy. So ya. People just didn't like my look and still don't cause other girls have long hair. -.-

-nods- I remember when I cut my hair in 8th grade, I actually had people who had once called me a friend stop talking to me all together because I looked like I was to 'boyish' I liked it personally...
I think the only time hair looks bad on someone is when it doesn't suit them or their personality. I have a friend when her hair gets to long it looks awful, so she cuts it x-short... another friend if she does that with her hair it makes her look more chubby... which is not something you want to do. -ah been around Prince Kaoru to much-

In gym class. Since I was new. The first look at me in a gym uniform (I was flat. -.-) They were just like. ALL saying that I looked like a guy. Completely. And gees. They think as if I can't hear. They don't even know how to whisper. -.-

I had to stop doing archery because they get in the way -pouts- Lucky. I would have loved for mine to wait until 10th grade! I went into middle school with pretty big knockers when all the other girls were still pretty flat and they just kept growing so I started wearing sports bras to avoid all the guys staring at me, I didn't like guys staring at me just cause I had large boobs when all the other girls we're still dealing with flat cheasts and A cups, I felt so uncomfortble. So archery is for flat cheasted people? Damn, thats something I've always wanted to try... I'll just stick to fenicng, size doesn't effect your preformance, it juts adds padding for when you get stabed. xd

If you can find a way to keep your boobs out of the way then go for it, mine seem to have a mind of their own and no matter what I try they want to get in the way -mutters-
