Every season, around mid October. I just get pissed. Then I realise how much I love it.

lord exious has any one ever felt like their being pushed so hard in MB that its just not fun anymore and more of a stress? it was so damn annoying that people were dropping out of band and/or their grades prevented them from playing... we had to make brand new sets on the damn field over and over and over until i had no ******** idea waht we were makin in the first place.

My head hurts and my arms hurt extreamly bad!!! plus you know the outcome of pushing...it'll get more done in a shorter amountof time...thusly getting better and better!

My band always gets pushed extremely hard, but then again, it's not for nothing that our nickname is "the number one band in the land." (We all have little #1's on the collars of our overlays.)
However, performances make it all worth it. Last night was our home-opener for football and, I kid you not (my director is pleased by nothing other than perfection), my director said "It has to be six or seven years since the band sounded thaty good. If you do that every week, and it keeps improving, this very well may be the best band ever."
It was only our second football game, and we're already getting gasps from the crowd hen we hit the first note. Not to mention the entire stadium erupting when we do the splits...

I fell like we're not getting pushed hard enough. At the first football game we only marched the opener because that was all we knew. Our first memory test was pushed back a week, as well as the other two. our second memory test was pushed back another week. We only have one rehearsal outside of school each week, and I don't think that's enough. My band has the potential to be good, but we don't put enough time in to be good.

I don't really get that. I'm the one who pushes myself too hard. In the end, I always end up loving marching band.

Every once in a while, after a full week of being held over 45 minutes after because we needed to do a few sets "one more time" for the trumpets and/or trombones... xp

That's happened to me once or twice, but it all depends on my mood for the day.

I've actually never liked marching band much at all.
It's a county law that says all people in concert band must do marching band. I'm overweight, and and a bad marcher, but I'm good at the euphonium and have a lot of friends in band. That's why I haven't quit.
I love concert band, though. Its my favorite class this year.
