FMA- Alchemy

Fullmetal alchemist alchemy is Based around one rule or law called Equivalent exchange Meaning something of equal value must be lost in order to gain something of equal value for instance if I was trying to create a pencil with Alchemy I would need lead and wood for materials. But i would also need a Transmutation circle. A transmutation circle is like a map of an alchemic reaction.
Alchemy consist of three parts- 1 Understanding the moculuar break down and deciding what to turn the items into, 2 Breaking Item down to the basics of its matter, and 3 Rebuilding it into somthing other then it was.
In order for Alchemy to work an alchemist must open their soul and using their will, knowledge, and Physical components of Alchemy.

(if you think anything up there is wrong tell me and give me reference and i will change it)

Red Magick (Alchemy In the Magickal world)

All material is from Grimoire for the Apprentice Wizard

In this alchemy you do not need A transmutation circle. You use your knowledge to use chemical reactions to change the appearance or physical compound or metals mostly.

Alchemist Are taught that al thing in nature are alive and contain a divine spark or vital force.

Example if you burn wood the ashes would be the corpse or the dead part of the wood and he smoke and every thing else would be the soul.

Alchemy this way is based on science and belief of individuals.

I've never heard of red magick... but I do know that FMA-Alchemy is SEMI-Real...
for instance... if you put mustang's glove on your hand, your hand gets warm.
and someone I know used a certain circle from FMA to break tables and desks all the time 3nodding

I have.

most classic mages classify different types of magic in color

black is personal gain
red is power
white is charity
green is monetary gain
blue is healing
purple is enhancement

so on and so forth. they often have elements associated with them.

am i correct?

sort of. i guess.. thinking back on it that i accidentally stated the "theme" of the magic. or the value. supposedly magecraft can be considered a form of dicipline, like martial arts. It requires different strengths and all around value, so like any other situation, you have an informal battle between the entities to discover "The best" or "most powerful" value
