Savannah

After finally getting used to walking on four legs instead of two, Axel started to pay more attention. He was never quite ignoring what happened, but it wasn't of much importance. Not to him, anyway. The lion that was a threat hadn't even seemed to notice him--and he was just fine with that.

"We must leave. It is not safe...And it will not be long before the Hyenas come to hunt," Axel heard Saix say. The red-maned-lion turned to look at him and nodded. Taking a few steps, the ex-nobody suddenly stopped and turned back to Zidane.

"You coming with us?"

Savannah

Zidane sighed, shaking his head to clear away thoughts of his friends and where they may be- particularly avoiding thoughts of if they'd landed in the wrong places.

He stood, stretching slightly with his arms high over his head, and walked over to Axel. "Yeah, I guess so. I don't have much to do anyway..." He patted his belt, doublechecking that he hadn't lost his dagger or the sword strapped to his back. "Where are you guys headed, anyway?" Somewhere inhabited, I hope...

Pride Lands, Oasis

Ugh. If there was one thing she hated even more than waiting, it was heat. And bugs. Which, in the Pride Lands, were both very abundant. Flicking incessantly away at the unfortunate insects that crossed her path, Lust waited--- albeit impatiently, but waited all the same. The lovely group she had been assigned to babysit would be coming any moment now, and so she was stuck here in this godforsaken Oasis in the middle of the deathly hot Savannah.

Picking at a nail, rather absently, the Heartless woman leaned back, the slit on the side of her dress widening with the shift. This place wouldn't be so bad if there were actual people, but noooooo, there were only a bunch of animals to keep her company. Mind you, they were talking animals, but they were not even remotely person-like. A sneer of disgust curled on her lip as she shifted position again, trying to find a cool spot to sit in. It momentarily made her wonder if she should just strip down to nothing. After all, it would be cooler that way.

Then again, there were too many bugs and dust and dry grass and she didn't even want to fathom how long it would take to clean all that off if she did so happen to strip down. With a frustrated noise at the back of her throat, she stood, ducking in and out of shadows until she came to the edge of the little paradise.

There. Off in the distance. Her targets were not very far off after all. A curling sneer picked up the ends of her full lips.

Maybe this would be fun after all.

Oasis-bound

Turning his head just slightly to address the monkey named Zidane, Vincent answered, voice low.

"According to Saix, we're to head to the Oasis just west of here." He made a vague pointing motion with his muzzle in the direction the group was headed. The dark maned lion turned back towards the Oasis, stalking forward. To say he was irritated would be an understatement at this point, really. Especially after speaking with Lucrecia about what Sephiroth had done to her. If it didn't endanger the rest that was traveling with him, Vincent would've gladly set Chaos upon the silver-haired Devil incarnate. Sure, it would be completely risky, but it would also mean sweet, sweet revenge. Not only against Sephiroth, but against Hojo as well--- for creating the psychopath in the first place.

He let out a sound of annoyance as he walked, crimson eyes set on that tiny spit of land where there would be water, food, and hopefully, rest. Then maybe, just maybe, they could high-tail it out of here because this place was really grating on his nerves.

Pride Lands, Oasis

What. the. hell.

This place was certainly not Costa del Sol, nor was it anything she had ever seen in her entire life. It was dusty, itchy, had weird animals, and weird plants. She had been looking for a "spit of land surrounded by water" but had taken a wrong turn somewhere and landed on this godforsaken world. Mental cursing herself for not paying attention to the radar as much as she should've been, the Turk turned lion sat up, shaking herself off.

Wait, wait. Shaking? Lifting what she could've sworn was a hand, Marina felt her.... fur drain completely of it's color. A paw was now waving in her face. A PAW. No, not just one but PAWS. Plural.

"s**t! What on Planet is this?!" Stumbling to her.... paws, she paced a circle, trying to figure out what exactly happened. Honestly, what had she done to deserve thi----

A thought completely interrupted the previous train. If Tseng or rather... -any- of the other Turks heard about this. ********, she'd never hear the end of it. Especially if that asshat, Reno, ever caught wind of her being a lion. Heaving a defeated sigh, Marina padded forward, head poking through the brush.

From here, she could see a small group making their way over. Ah, maybe they could provide some answers.

Oasis

Momentarily distracted by movement, the lioness Tifa automatically turned to regard the newest arrival. Quite unlike lions, who thought of each other as threats almost automatically - it probably had something to do with testosterone poisoning - Tifa was glad that the lioness instincts offered her no such instinct.

In between keeping a close eye on the lion-General and making sure that the boys didn't get ahead of themselves/pick a fight/eat each other, she really, really didn't have any spare energy to waste on a fight.

Come to think of it, there weren't much of a difference between human males and animal males...

Tilting her head a little and smiling - as much as a lioness could smile, anyway - even as she padded towards the other female and her, she spoke. "Hello, there."

Oasis

Saix looked at the female lioness who was sitting by the small pond. She looked like she had been taking good care of herself furwise. Nothing was scruffed or out of place. Then everything clicked. Why is that? It's almost impossible to do that... He told himself. Then he noticed the fir on her face changed colors into some kind of design. Designs simular to Heartless!

"You! You're a heartless! You're Lust, arn't you?" He asked, glaring at the woman. Then he remember something. He and Roxas planned to suduce the woman into joining them. Then killing her. Right....almost forgot.

The Lion untensed and he was calm once again as he walked over toward Lust. "I never would have expected you to end up here." He smiled at her.

"You! You're a heartless! You're Lust, arn't you?"

Seifer's ears perked up as he heard it. Lust, eh?? His emerald eyes scanned the savannah until he saw Saix speaking with a highly attractive woman. It only took a few seconds of staring for shivers to run up his spine, as well as the feeling that he might not be able to control himself. Screw the Heartless bit, she's probably freaking hot!! As he stared at the woman, he noticed a sudden change in attitude from Saix. Hey, wait, wait, wait. He's got Tifa; he should leave some for the single guys.

A warning about the woman from a friend flashed through his mind, but he paid it no heed. Instead, he arched his back, shook his mane out, and sauntered over to the female. "Hey, sexy lady." he purred, "How about you and me catch the next ride out of this dump?"

Desert Oasis

Irony's a b***h. If Zidane had known he'd end up coming BACK to where he'd started, he would've just stayed put and not exhausted himself with the walk. Oh well.

Zidane wanted to laugh outright at the two lions' pathetic attempt at flirting with this 'Heartless.' It was truly pitiful. The second seemed to have a better idea of how to go about it, having already analyzed the woman's obvious distaste at being here. He darted up into the branches of a tree, swinging his way over to settle on top a rock.

"Begging your pardon ma'am, but you don't seem like much of a cat person to me," he said, an amused smile playing across his face.

Pride Lands, Oasis

Sephiroth watched, feeling slightly bored and almost lethargic. Perhaps being a lion did this to you? He shrugged it off simply, his emerald eyes observing the animals in front of him. Oasis. They were going to the Oasis, and he followed calmly.

Seeing two females ahead, the silver-furred lion stretched, one barely catching his interest, and the other....He smirked. Actually, the other looked annoyed and frustrated and about to tear something apart. How very, very interesting.

Sephiroth sat about five feet from the angered female and the monkey, an amused expression playing on his face. Now, how would this all play out in the end?

His narrow eyes glanced over at Tifa, then at Vincent. How very, very, entertaining this was going to be.

Pride Lands--Oasis

...Well, now if Saix wasn't flirting with one of the newbies. Lion Axel snickered lightly to himself as he walked into the Oasis, settling into a sitting position on his haunches. Well, Tifa was bound to not like that. The lion shook his red mane out briefly before watching everyone.

Tifa seemed to want to talk to one of the new people. And that other new lady was...Lust. Well....Ew. Axel had only spoke with her briefly, but found that she deserved her name. Though she did seem pretty damn set on the fact that she was not, in fact, a whore. Either way, Axel didn't want her to touch him.

Moving on. Emerald hues looked over at the other people. Zidane and Seifer were drooling over Lust. Figures. Vincent didn't seem to be doing much, and Sephiroth was watching--same as him.

Leaning back, Axel decided to stretch out, in the only way a feline could stretch, and then sat back down. He wasn't about to go talking to the skank....so he might as well go talk to that other lioness.

The red-maned lion went over the two lionesses, walking really kind of relaxed and nonchalantly.

"Yo, Tifa. Who's the new one?"

Oasis

Marina's gold eyes surveyed the two newcomers with masked interest. The lioness (who after a moment, she learned was named Tifa) seemed rather nice. Tifa didn't approach in a way that gave off any bad vibes, so the Turk relaxed. She nodded her acknowledgement of the darker colored lioness, a faint smile crossing her expression.

"I see I'm not the only one who grew fur." Her attention flicked over to the red-maned lion, curiousity vaguely piqued. He reminded her of Reno. A little too much, now that she thought about it.

"It would be easier if you asked for my name, you know." Marina replied to the male sassily. If this one was anything like Reno, she could handle him.

Piece of cake.

Oasis

Vincent's crimson gaze had been fixed on Sephiroth the entire way to the Oasis that Saix had pointed out. Sure, one could call it paranoia, but for the record, Vincent was going to call it "caution". He had been trained to keep allies close, but enemies even closer and he was not about to let the silver psycho out of his eyesight.

It didn't help that he was pissed as all hell at the other.

After all, not much got the vampiric-looking man all riled up, but after hearing what he had done to Lucrecia--- unforgiveable. He muffled a soft growl... no use in showing what he felt. Ears pricked only slightly as he listened to Saix, Seifer, and Zidane talk incessantly to this.... Lust.

It did not concern him.

"It would be easier if you asked for my name, you know," The lioness replied. She had an attitude. Definatly. And Axel couldn't quite say he liked it.

And I coulda just stayed on my lonesome. Too late to go back now, I guess, The male thought regretfully as he started to answer the once-person's remark.

"Yes, yes it would be. But that would be blunt and take all the fun out of it, wouldn't it?"

Oasis

Quite determined to get as far away from Saix as humanly possible - considering now that he was flirting with Lust; she knew that it was a trap, but still, it didn't stop hurting, and the last conversation she had with him didn't help, either - Tifa turned to Axel, who looked to be curious about the newest lioness presence.

Well...Tifa didn't exactly know her name, either. Shaking her head at Axel, almost amused and silently grateful for the distraction he provided; anything but watching Saix flirt with the Heartless....

It would be easier if you asked for my name, you know. The lioness almost smiled at that quip, and decided that yes, she really was going to like her. At least she was sassy enough to banter with the boys, and possibly help keep them in line, too.

"Ah, I'm sorry," She said quickly, tilting her head in Axel's direction even as she addressed Marina. "I'm Tifa--you probably know that already--and that's Axel. Who would you be?"

Saix would have continued his fake flirting with the Heartless, but he had taken notice (as well as the yelling and scolding he had gotten for it earlier) that Tifa was not very happy. Wanting to change that, Saix turned away and made his way back to his angry girlfriend.

"Tifa..." He began, but could not find the strength within himself to continue. He had already apologized...there was nothing left to say.

Why was there nothing? Why was he so distant from her now? Saix sighed. He knew why...He knew it wouldn't make a difference if he opened up or not to her. She would hate him in the end. He knew it, Axel knew it...soon everyone would. We were never meant to be... A nagging voice in the back of his mind whispered sadly. The ex-diviner would never be forgiven...never. It was only a matter of time before that nightmare would be realized...

His eyes shifted to Axel off to the side. Maybe there was time? Maybe...Maybe they could end this rather than end it in blood? With that thought in mind he went to Axel, nudging him with his paw. "Axel...I need to speak with you privately. It's...about you-know-what." His tone was serious, yet troubled.
