The reason that most people have fresh water tanks instead of salt water even if they prefer salt water fish is because it is harder to contain the proper balance of salt in a salt water tank.
Not really, now that the nano cube and other all-in-one saltwater tanks are out lots of people are trying saltwater tanks. They're just really expensive and if you do a reef then you cant have many fish
