Yeah, this is an easy one. Love hurts; it hurts with the purposefulness of deliberately rubbing salt or vinegar or lemon juice over an open cut. It kills us inside and leaves us empty and hollow, but yet we seek it out. We long for it and Pine away wishing it to come to us. All of us want it even if we claim not to. Yet we want, and desire this feeling that can and will tear us to pieces quicker then a shredder can chew through a bit of tissue paper. I know I am still wanting and peering in nooks and crannies, trying to find love, even after all the hurt it has caused me.

There's so many good songs to choose from but for now I'm gonna go with 'Pretending' because it's personal at this point in time.

To me this is basically saying to just keep trying to convince yourself there's something better in the world or after life ends. It also says to me in 'It will be the end of our craving' = 'once we have this we'll be fine, we wont need anything else.' But with the repitition of the word 'Pretending' you get the almost painfully grim feeling that no matter what, everything you're imagining is only a dream and can't ever really happen.
To me right now I am in the role of the pretendor. I'm in a really dark spot in my life and I keep telling myself there's something better. But I have a lurking feeling that if it can get better, I'll never be able to make it that way.

in my life, so many people tried to change me into what they want me to be, not just in religion, but everything. they want me to be this doll for them that they can just dress up as they will it thinking that my life has no worth in the process. they want me to be this thing that i cannot be. they are afraid and ashamed of the monster that is within me, and they try to excorsise it out of me, for lack of a better term. but no matter how much i love these people, (well, some of them), i know what's right for me, and i won't change at all for them. i'll keep my scars, thank you.

A few years ago for the first time I fell in love and it was with another girl, yeah ahhh omg I'm gay PLease don't judge me I get enough of that. But this song reminds me so much of the hard time we hand hiding it from ither people. Really when I heard the line "For a moment the world turns its back And you let me come closer" I cired becuase all I could think about was her and how true that was to us. I could only be with her when no one was looking.

This song reminds me of the man i love. He and i are together in a way and then again we're not. his not in the same country as me atm (we met overseas) ... he'll be here soon but it crushes my heart to be so far away from him.
