At the Gaian National Guard, the following essential value will govern our actions:

This guild cherishes the diversity of individual experience and background, and supports the freedom of individuals to study, teach, work and carry out research without fear of harassment, intimidation or discrimination
The Gaian National Guard Code of Conduct
All members are required to adhere to the guild's Code of Conduct. They should also bear in mind that compliance with this code implies non-participation in disturbances by non-member parties and generally maintaining the reputation of the guild. Initial responsibility for the enforcement of the Code rests with all guild members, and the appointed moderators. Members who violate the Code are to be placed under review by a judicial committee of no less than two moderators. Jurisdiction in cases involving discipline in guild sub-forums rests with the relevant faculty in charge of the sub-forum. Any recommendations for expulsion or suspension must be forwarded to a judicial committee of no less than three moderators for approval.
In general terms, acceptable conduct does not infringe on the rights of other members of the guild community and conforms to the regulations of the guild and its subordinate jurisdictions and to the Terms of Service, and the Rules & Guidelines of GaiaOnline.com. Hence it must be emphasized that this guild's system of discipline should be regarded as a complementary system that may be derived naturally from our existence as a clearly distinguishable community of interests. The following conduct is unacceptable and constitutes an offence within this guild community:
a a violation of established rules and regulations of the guild or of any authorized rule-making body within the guild.
b failure to comply with the directions of officials (Moderators) of the guild acting within the scope of their authority.
c a violation of the rights of any member of this guild community.
NOTE: Any reprisal or express or implied threat of reprisal for making and pursuing a complaint under any procedure authorized by the guild is deemed to be an offence against the Gaian National Guard Code of Conduct.

4. Respect your equals and superiors; show courtesy to your lessers.
5. Loyalty and devotion are gifts that keep on giving; support your fellow members, and they will support you.
