Before I go on...I do admit that I am not the right person to talk about this so I would like the comments and help from others who do know more than I do.
My questions are:
- Can Buddhism and Hinduism be followed (not blindly of course) side by side?
- Do both Buddhism and Hinduism have compatible teachings? Other than rebirth/reincarnation and karma? Can they be compatible? Can both be applied? For example if someone practices Vajrayana, Zen, Pure land, or Theravada, etc...can Hindu practices be mixed in as well (this also ties down to the questions below)
- If so, can one disagree with the other. Say if there are some things you dont agree with in either Hinduism or Buddhism...is that alright?
These are my questions for now >_<" but I hope others can join in this discussion and contribute to it as well.
PS: I had the feeling that maybe someone would create a thread like this...but no one did so I took the courage and did it myself.
Many of us in this guild arent on the Hinduism guild, so I would and we as well would like to hear the opinions of the Buddhist practicioners as well.
Take care

Sure they can work together! But you will have to pick and choose and do some heavy research. Some things differ between the two and that's where the picking and choosing will come in handy. But yeah, they're pretty compatible. And when it comes right down to it any religions are compatible if you believe in it enough. Wicca and Christianity work for example. Maybe not Satanism and Christianity... but you get the idea! 4laugh
