Parts of Speech
Lesson 1: Nouns

A noun is the name of a person place or thing, but it can also be a quality, concept or action.

examples:
child
desk
Miko
honesty
walking/to walk

A proper noun is a noun that the first letter is capaitalized because it names a person or a place.

Other nouns that aren't the names of people and places are called common nouns.

Nouns with a singular or plural form are called count nouns and nouns with only a singular form are called non-count nouns.
