a little over half way through the nascar season there have been a lot of surprises and a lot of dissapointments...
Biggest surprises

1.jeff burton....As of the time this post was written he's 3rd in the points....3RD!! and has two poles to boot...

2.kasy kahne...4 wins this year and it's not even over yet, has the most wins and poles out of any driver...

3. dale Jr has been a decent surprise but i believe he still isn't back to where he was in 2004...

And now for the biggest upsets

1.Jamie McMurray has defenitly got to be the biggest dissapointment this year. After making a move over to roush many thought McMurray would tear up the track this year and do good but other than his near win earlier in the year he hasn't shown any life and was actually doing better last year...

2. Jeremy Mayfield.....I don't even know what happened to him this year..after being the underdog and making the chase two years in a row mayfield is almost in danger of not even making the race and doesn't even have a top 10 finish...

3. Sterling marlin....in another few years he'll end up being forgotten...He hasn't been anywhere this year. I thought he'd at least be mildly competitive....

you are welcome to post your own opinions on the biggest surprises and dissappoinments of the year

Jeff Burton hands down. When was the last time you can recall Jeff Burton being in the hunt for the title?

I'm gonna break suit a bit and say that the biggest suprises this year has been the poor preformance by the Yates cars and the fact that both of them decided to go to different teams. Also the Roushkaters having so much trouble keeping up with the top ten. It's not looking good for Ford and the future doesn't look to great either crying Aw well. Maybe the boys driven for the blue oval will pick it up in the second half of this season.
