i know that i already made this thread in the sports forum outside of here, but i wanted to here the opinions of my fellow sportsfans. to me, the greatest sports rivalry is Yankees-Red Sox, because there is so much history behind it. what do you guys think is the greatest sports rivalry?

A few years ago i probably would have put Lakers Kings, and in 2004 i would have put Yankees and Red Sox, but i'm gonna put the Red Wings vs Avs. this is a great rivalry cause it is never a one sided battle and a majority of there games are very close, and with a lot of intensity! back like 5 years ago, the goalies for both of the teams (Roy of the Avs and Osgood of the Red Wings) came out for a fight after a big fight with all the players faught, it was intense and awesome!!! Osgood ended up winning but it was still cool! kinda like what happened with the Sox and the Yanks a few years ago
