Everyone loves it, to my surprise. Obviously, it was meant for a child to watch but even at that level every line and plot twist is cliche and corny. The lines in the movie are more irritating than they are funny, the plot can be summed up in a sentence spoken by a three year old, and settings were predictable and unable to make me laugh. I started watching, unamused by the horrible acting of the grandfather and little boy, simply because I thought the Wesley guy was an interesting character and after he got a mask on I automatically had my phan senses kick in. The only thing that I remember fondly was that there was a single PoTO reference in it.

I actually love the movie, well, all the parts without the grandfather and boy.
Is it just me, or is Wesley very fem looking, his eyes and lips just scream girl to me. Especially in his Dread Pirate Roberts get up.

xD I adore that movie.
I grew up on it. Throughout my entire life in elementary school, that was the movie we always watched.
I always had a thing for Wesley until he took off his mask. xP
My favorite character is Inigo Montoya. I also am currently obsessing over the actor who played him, Mandy Patinkin. Who, infact, is an amazing singer and played Che in Evita.

I actually had never read the book or seen the movie. I still haven't seen the movie, but I bought the book a few months ago and read it. Despite its simpleness, I enjoyed the story. Course, I had the abridged version where the so-called boring parts were summed up/cut out.
Was a good book, though.

I grew up with that movie. One of my favorite lines "Anybody want a peanut?" Gets me everytime. I like that it is so simple. It's one of those movies you don't need to think about.

Moocat My favorite character is Inigo Montoya. I also am currently obsessing over the actor who played him, Mandy Patinkin. Who, infact, is an amazing singer and played Che in Evita. I know! He rules! He also played Archibald in a musical version of The Secret Garden, which isn't as well-known but won a bunch of awards. I was in an amateur children's production of it recently (playing Lily! Wee!) and it's AWESOME! Anyway, enough of my off-topic rambling. I love The Princess Bride, book and movie. I think the book is mostly better, but there are some parts in the movie I prefer. Though both versions rule.
