Ever wanted to be a Super Hero?
Discretionary Points: 60 Genre: Superheroes! Category: Supers, Comic Book Action Setting: Modern World, Alternate Reality (Supers) Theme: "Superheroes Galore!" Skill Set: Modern Military Story Boundaries: Try to keep in mind that this is a Super Heroes campaign. If your going to use Owns a Big Mecha, his mecha should be along the lines of powered armor or the like and should not be giant. Basically, nothing over size category Large. If you really feel a different skill set would be better for your character then we can discuss it.
Character Creation: Characters should fit into the four-color style Superhero comic book world. That basically means DC, Marvel and the like.
Since it suits itself to Comic book Super Heroes so well, I encourage the use of the Tri-Stat Dx Rules. They are completely free and a more complete source for Attributes/Defects and Equipment for Supers. It is also completely compatible with normal BESM D6 rules. The Superheroes will be BESM D6 Characters, but the Dx book has great Attributes like Gageteer, Combat Technique and many other useful Super Hero Attributes you might want to add to your characters.
Also check out the http://www.ugo.com/channels/comics/heroMachine2/heromachine2.asp Which is a tool for creating super-hero portraits online.
I would use Silver Age Sentinels D6 for this game, but I don't have a copy of the SAS book.

Just a question, BOWP: Would you kill me if I made a character who maniuplated... Carbon? As in the element, Carbon?
Because... Well... twisted I could damn well kill anyone with it!! Or anything, for that matter.

No, not that! The Carbon Kill procedure!!
I think BOWP would hate me if I did that...
Nah, I'm torn between the AI character and the Kanazuchi-kick-your-a** character...
Then again, both of them use quite lethal force... I mean, come on. A Hell-Fire to the chest is just going to do wonders for your health.

((Yeah, about as noob as ya get, until you consider I gave him a melee attack with Autofire and an 8 Combat value.))

Eh... If you look at JSUC-2985 Recovery Drone "Durandal"
He has an ACV of 12... with an Autofire weapon that smashes for 72 a hit... and goes through all armor and force-fields... for a measely 21 energy.

Its a sub attack. The base attack is level 5, while the auto-fire attack is a sub-attack. And its multiples of four, not five.

Hmm.. Attribute limits, eh?
Superman could fly against the spin of the planet and reverse time... but none of you can xp
I'm thinking 80 sounds like a good max damage... not that anyone has to go that high, unless someone has a really good reason why should be able to do more.
I don't cap how many points can go to stats and attributes, so you can make a super-stat character with fewer attribs or a gageteer with lower stats, or in some other combination.
I do use ammo rules, so account for that when making weapon attacks with personl gear and such.
I don't know how much I like that Telekinesis (Carbon) thing, but you could also use Telekinesis (Magnetic only) and whip sharp objects throughout an area like Magneto... and Telekinesis (Fire) and use a match to torch a room full of enemies (if you aren't already on fire), and Telekinesis (Water) to suck all the moisture out of your enemies... I wonder what Attributes cover Ice Man's frozen path and ice attacks... or just take a high level of full Telekinesis and toss everyone around...
