 Spread across a small portion of the grassland, are gathered lions old and young. They stalk the lands, keeping eachother safe and tying their families together in close bonds. Not one lion could say that this group of 20+ lions do not take care of eachother. Not one lion in it's right mind could say these families would not come together to defeat an enemy against all odds. Spread across a small portion of the grassland, is the Rose Petal Pride.

RULES
1. Do NOT Whine in this pride.
2. Do not beg for breedings cubs, ect.
3. Do not curse.
4. Keep things PG-13
5. Do not post a lot of OOC and when you do, put it in Parenthisis.
6. Please, when you are joining the pride, introduce your lion in a post, wait to be accepted AND THEN PM me with the information. (Thank god for Lat's brilliant idea!)
Pride Rules (DO NOT SKIP)
Males are allowed into the Pride.
They may leave when they reach the teen age or as adults.
Females must ask permission before leaving the pride, and provide a GOOD reason.
The king has the right to challenge anyone he sees as a threat.
There will be no killing of lions just for fun, or at all for that matter
None have the right to Challenge for Kingship
Elders/Leaders shall be respected, and give Respect to all
Be yourself!(OR ELSE scream )

|To become the pride location and discription post|
RPP is the red white and black dot marked with an 'S' on the western grasslands.
Rose Petal is in the western grassland, nearby the lake for the comfort of it's water-lioness members.
It has a large cave, set in the side of a big hill of solid rock. Inside the cave, known to the lions as the den, there's the main section, where most of the pride members sleep, and then spreads into chambers, consisting of a nursery for the cubs, and den for the king and queen, dens for the pregnant and sick, and dens for some of the princes and princesses.
By the den is a small pool of water, but days can get hot and the pool will sometimes dry up, leaving the pride members to trek to the lake for a drink. The prey is abundant, mostly large zebra and Thompsons Gazelle.
One more thing. Often times, the king and his sons will be found keeping an eye on the land from atop the den, in a small grassy area.[/

 -to be redone- I ask that ALL pride members send me a new form. I've the old ones, but they've some things that need to be updated and it'd be much simpler to just get new forms. (Adia does not need a new form, I don't believe, though if you'd like to send a new one Izzy, feel free) Please send all forms in a PM to me, and if you have multiple lions within the pride DO NOT send them in seperate PMs, you'll kill my inbox. History: Santos was born of a brutal rape, punishment to his mother for her defiance. His father was a dark king, and hated him and his three siblings from birth. One night he came into the den in hope of killing the cubs and his mother. Santos escaped the murder by sleeping away from his family that night. He ran away when it was over, as far away as possible. Though not blaming others for his past and remaining pretty laid back, Santos was never able to fully forgive all males. He became extremely protective of the daughters he had with his love, Adia, and when he realized his sister, Abla, had survived he became protective of her too. But what pained him the most was the night he saw his sister Zoe, forever cast into a ghostly cub form.
Personality: Santos is goofy and fun loving, though extremely protective. He fears his children leaving him, and so does his best to keep the though out of their minds. Now a great-grandfather he continues to have a weakness for cubs, though he feels he’s the most ancient thing around. It’s hard to say what mood Santos will be in every day. Name: Adia

History: Arsenic grew up with the average life. He got into fights with his sister.. major ones, but those were overcome and he know happily takes care of his daughter, Lithium, while often visiting his good friend outside the pride, secretly wishing they were something more than friends.
Personality: Arsenic is romantic and goofy, yet quiet and observing. He talks a little more than he used to now, but he still sort of shies away from large gatherings where he would have to talk insane amounts.  Name: Daveigh

History: Daveigh was born and raised in the Rose Petal Pride. Through her cub, teen and early adult age she and her brother Arsenic had a lot of trifles and trivias they went through over their friends. Soon after adulthood hit them they called peace and with an appology from Adia to Arsenic the 'war' ended. Not long after the drama ended between siblings Daveigh's best friend Yukio disappeared around the time she met up with Anu. Anu and Daveigh were together for a good while and Daveigh even moved to Anu's pride.
Peace didn't keep between them however as Daveigh found out she was pregnant with Anu's cubs, freaked out and went into hiding. Anu found her not long after she left and they split right after the birth of their son, Vasillios and their daughter Adieu. They tried to keep ties and share the two children so that neither would be denied them however it wasn't long after the two cubs reached cubhood that more drama ensued and Anu took Vasillios and Daveigh took Adieu. Daveigh hasn't seen her son since.
It wasn't long after Anu and Daveigh split that Yukio soon returned all grown up. This was when him and Daveigh realized their true feelings and the pair became mates. Now the pair are living happily in the Rose Petal Pride with their two newly born sons Kama and Kiangazi Usiku and her daughter Adieu.
Personality: Daveigh has become serious in her age and the trivia's in her life have turned her partially cold to strangers. She is very loving to those she knows and likes. Overall she is a happy lioness but the angry and depressing past she's had makes her very susceptable to mood swings and depressive episodes with just the right trigger.  Name: Floria

History: The lioness grew up in a privladged life.. Floria had always been kind of the odd one in the bunch though. She wasn't really interested in spending time with her family, though she was always sort of a daddy's girl in her younger years. When she grew to a teen a badboy caught her eye, a bad boy she was not allowed to speak with thanks to the King. However, just because she couldn't speak with him doesn't mean she couldn't see him. So she spent all of her teen years stalking and watching this badboy waiting for her adulthood so she could finally leave the pride and be with him. Now that it has came, she was just waiting for her chance to leave.
Personality: Around her family she's very spiteful, angry and sassy. Though away from them she's cute, playful, thickheaded sometimes and respectful.  Name: Razi

He loves to hang around with his friend and just goof off, which sometimes gets him in trouble, but he takes his role as warrior seriously, having trained to protect his pride ever since he could remember. History: Amador was born to Adia and Santos the king and queen of Rose Petal Pride. As a cub he was the cub of the litter that seemed to always be picked on by his brother and sister Razi and Floria or at least that's how he felt. He was quick to make a friends with Iro, Daveigh best friend Ori's son, the pair were completely different in everyway but they were best friends. Together the pair made more friends with Solstice, Dolorosa, Cygni and Altaria. For a long while the group was called the dark cubs but as they all got older they let it fade out and just became friends.
Amador grew up with only Iro keeping him sane but even Iro couldn't stop Amador from trying to run away from the pride as a teen. Santos was the one to stop him from leaving and brought him back to the pride. Sometime later still in his teen age Amador fell for Altaria when he finally saw her as an adult. He and Altaria soon confessed how they both felt for one another and as soon as Amador became an adult the pair became official mates. Amador is now deciding if he wants to bring Altaria to the pride or go with her and live in the group that Iro and Cygni are creating.
Personality: Amador is a calm and happy lion. He is very protective of everyone he loves especially Altaria. He enjoys getting others to laugh and can be very serious when the need arises. Advisor  Name: Karounos

History: Adieu was born into a drama filled family and before she had even been born her parents had split up. She wasn't too bothered by it or by the fact that until she was a cub she was passed between her father and her mothers pride. But during her cub age she, her brother, mother and father got into it deep and it was decided that she stay with her mother and her brother with her father. Since then she has held a bit of a grudge toward her brother and father. On the outside she wants to claw them both but deep down she dreams of seeing her father smile at her at least once and hold her in his paws.

Santos paced infront of a cave entrance. He had picked his spot for a pride and was eager to find out if his queen would love it just as much as he did. The clouds rolled past easily and birds flew in pairs through the sky. The water sparkled under the shining sun. It was all so beautiful and he somehow knew that Adia would be pleased. Then he suddenly remembered something, or rather someone, as they moved through his mane.
Nimbus yawned and blinked sleepily. Moving his head out of his adoptive fathers mane he stared wide-eyed at his surroundings. He had fallen asleep while he and Santos looked for a suitable area for a pride, and he was shocked wake up to such a lovely area. But the blue cub's thoughts were stopped as he suddenly lost his footing and tumbled to the ground. "Oof!" he grunted as he landed. He was sitting infront of a large cave entrance which would be a great place for a pride to live comfortably. It couldn't get more perfect than this.

Adia had been following Santos' trail in a sort of lazy canter and as she rounded a rock coming up along the lake she finally spotted Santos and the little Numbus hanging around outside a sweet looking cave. After a moment she roared announcing her presence to the two and trotted up to the cave at a much quicker pace than when she had been sniffing them out. As she reached the mouth of the cave and looked around she smiled at Santos and Nimbus while giving Santos a loving nuzzle. "This is beautiful Santos. I love it! It's the perfect place!" Adia said as she looked down at Nimbus and as she had Santos gave him a nuzzle.

"I'm glad you like it," he purred and licked Adia's cheek. After she nuzzled Nimbus he began to play with her hair as he always did. For some reason it kept him at peace. His tail swayed gently behind him and he was truely, very happy.
Nimbus rubbed up against Adia. "Mom!" He exclaimed as he ran between her paws. "Mom, Daddy found us a pride place!" She probably already knew this but it didn't hurt to tell her, well, it didn't hurt him. He finally stopped to lay between her paws and purr softly.

Adia smiled at Santos and Nimbus. "You did a wonderful job. It's a dream come true." She said and then glanced down at Nimbus and giggled. "And it's even got a swimming hole big enough for everyone." She said giving a wink to Nimbus and then slowly lied down making a little cradle out of her forelegs for Nimbus to lie in.

Santos grinned and let out a large roar, letting all in range know he was there and these were his lands and for a split second, everything went silent. The birds didn't sing, the gazelle stopped to listen, it was just..quiet. But that didn't last long.
Nimbus tried to roar with his father but it came out as more of a mew. He gave up and sneezed when one of Adia's flakes brushed across his nose.

Adia stayed silent as Santos made his roar and Nimbus tried to follow suite but managed little more than a mew. Adia giggled at Nimbus' attempt and then choose to follow suite with her own mighty yet femimine roar. "A home... Our home." Adia said after a moment and nuzzled against Santos.

._. okay so this was like... somewhere away from the pride... but...still... DarkHeartedSorrows Santos watched the kits a moment longer and realized Naida had gone back to the river bank. With a sigh he got up and walked over to stand beside her. "What's wrong?" He asked tilting his head a little like a cub. He looked down into his reflection. It wasn't the same wanderer he had been before. It was the reflection of a king, with a family. Lady Mirage Naida watched Santos's reflection appear beside hers, and she looked at it intently for a moment. He was a king, with a family....he belonged. She, on the other hand, was a stranger merely passing through belonging no where and to no one. Finally she spoke, but her voice was quiet and sad as she pawed at her reflection, causing waves to ripple across the face of the river. "It's....it's...hard to describe. My mother was a rogue who only had two cubs, me and Kaida. She always used to say how she liked the idea of belonging to no one, having no one rule over her...but I can only wonder, now, how lonely she must have felt, even if she never admitted it to herself. To belong, to have a family....the more I see the cubs, the more I wish that for myself, but I'm a stranger. I belong here about as much as a fish belongs on land." DarkHeartedSorrows Santos thought for a second. "You're always welcome into my pride. We're small, and new. It's me my son and my mate, but we'd be glad to have you. You don't have to be a stranger," he said, still watching his reflection. It was true, they were a small pride, and they would accept her happily. Lady Mirage Naida looked up, not wanting to believe her ears. "Are you sure your mate would agree? I mean, I don't realy want to intrude on anyone, or step on anyone's tail, that is..." she said quickly, her earfins flickering as she waited. Her heart fluttered as she thought "I can belong too..." DarkHeartedSorrows "I'm sure she would love to have you in our pride!" He said with a wide grin. Adia was kind and as long as Naida could deal with her goofyness, Santos was certain she would allow her in. Lady Mirage Naida grinned, but she knew the final test would come later, when she met his mate. "Well...I have to admit there is alot I don't know, or understand, when it comes to prides....but I promise to do my best to make you proud, my King." She stood and made a bow to him in respect of his title. ((blah blah they watch the cubs and lay down yadda yadda -skips to where Adia comes in-)) Izzy Makani As it seemed to be one of her most favorite past times Adia was on Santos' trail and coming up fast to where he, the cubs and the lioness all were hanging at. She come up from behind at a full out run and pretty much slammed into Santos landing on his back and planting her face directly into his mane fur and nuzzled him. Lady Mirage Naida was bowled over by the surprise of seeing a dark red and black blur of fur land on Santo's back. Straightening back up, she laughed when she realized who this must be. "Santos, I take it this is your mate....I am Naida, newest hopeful recruit for the Rose Petal Pride." She bowed once more to the couple and awaited the final verdict. DarkHeartedSorrows Santos' face was planted into the ground as someone ran into him and landed on his back. When he turned to see who it was he saw a striped paw he grinned happily. "Adia! How nice of you to drop by!" He laughed. She seemed to pop out of nowhere whenever he began to think about her, and he loved it. Izzy Makani Adia lifted her head from Santos' mane and lightly licked his ear. "Always a pleasure my love." She replied and then her attention was caught by the lioness near Santos. She perked her ears and looked the female over good. "It's nice to meet you Naida. I'm Adia as I'm sure my mate has told you of me already." Adia said and then glanced down realizing she was still lying on Santos and stood moving over to be in front of Naida. "You wish to be part of the pride?" Lady Mirage Naida, keeping her head bowed in respect to the pride's Queen, she replied firmly and with as much respect as she could muster, "I do wish to join with all my heart. I have grown up being a rogue, since that is how my mother raised my sister and I, but I do not wish that lifestyle any longer. I admit I do not know much of the way of prides, or what I must do to fit in, but I do promise to do my best to bring honor to not only to you two, but to the name of the Rose Petal Pride as well." Her body shook slightly, her ear fins drooping a bit in anticipation...the final test was here at last. She was nervous, hoping Adia would let her in. She really meant every word she said, and one look in her eyes would show it. She wanted to belong so badly, she'd do anything to be accepted. Izzy Makani Adia looked Naida over once more and then with a glance at Nimbus and the cub he was playing with she turned her head back to Naida and smiled. "Welcome. Welcome to the Rose Petal Pride. Lady Mirage Naida looked up, not quite believing her ears for a moment. She had PASSED!! With a whoop of joy, she danced around in the grass for a moment as she lapsed back into her usual cub-like mode. Panting slightly, she collapsed into the grass and watched the cubs with glee. Nothing could bring her mood down from cloud nine. After awhile, though, the heat of the day began to seriously bother her, and she took her leave of the group to take a quick swim in the river. Izzy Makani Adia smiled at Naida seeing how excited she actually was and then began to purr she enjoyed Santos' nibbling on her flakes as much as she enjoyed hunting him down. When Nimbus came over she smiled and gave him a loving lick on the face. "Hello Darling. Who's your friend here?" Adia asked motioning to the cub Nimbus was with. ((And that is how she was accepted into the pride... TA DA!!!?))

Naida emerged from the water of the lake, having taken a quick swim to cool down from the heat of the sun. It'd been a long walk to trail the family, but she was so excited to be a part of their group that she roared with all her might, as she stood half in the lake still, to shout to the world her happiness that she finally belonged somewhere at last. Ears perked, she waited for some sort of answer before proceeding further, after all she could be wrong at her conclusion that she'd reached the Rose Petal Pride's border....
