Welcome one and all to the Kao-Haru Multiversal School for the Gifted!
As our school is very unique, and our recruting department very forceful, most of you must be wondering where you are and why you are here!
At Kao-Haru we decide who our students will be, wether they like it or not, and we will teach you to become even better! All of you were hand picked by our recruitment department, and hand abducted by that same department, because you have one or many special traits that set you apart from others.
Now, before you get it in your head to make a run for it, let me describe the school grounds to you a little. Kao-Haru is conviniently located in a dead dimension and so anyone who would manage to venture off school grounds would not just die, but seace to exist entirely. If you choose this path I warn you that no one will morn your loss... because we will not remember you existed! Those with transdimensional abilities will take note that any attempt to use them will only end them in the dungeon. The recruitment and graduation departments are the only ones who can freely leave the school.
Everyone will be issued a map of the school, I reccomend you do not lose it, because you will not get a second. The map will outline all the class areas, all the staff areas, and all the recreation/dorm areas. Any area marked as a recreation/dorm area is also equipped with an equilizer. This means that none of your special abilities will work, wether it is amazing strength or bewitching beauty, it will not work within these zones!
Now please bare with us, as we hand out some paper work to fill out!

~ OOC ~
Anyone wishing to join can fill out the information in the form and post it or PM it to me. If you have art or a pic you wish to display with your character you can do so but please try and keep them as 150 X 300 or smaller. The dolls I have used were created at eLouais

Karia found herself daydreaming while the handful of new students filled out their forms and shuffled their feet. She remembered her first day in the school too and wondered if any of these new faces would kick up a fuss like she had. As scary as it all seemed back then she can look back at it fondly now. Alren himself had appeared to pin her down and forcively remover her teeth from Magals wrist. It's funny how things change with time.
These grand vaulted rooms no longer seem stuffy and foreign to her, she can actually enjoy the scrole work and the beautiful paintings.
Her musing were interupted about that time by a young man who seemed finished his form already. She read over his form while he stood there and was impressed with his ability to accept being recruited so forcefully. Karia decided to give the boy a bit of extra help.
"Welcome to Kao-Haru Nick I'm Karia. It will probably take the others a while to sort things out and turn in their forms, so you're free to look around. There's a girl over there playing with a little red Dragon, her name is Ara, and she's starting her first year classes this term but she's been here a couple months so if you want someone to show you around a bit I'm sure she'll be very happy to help."

(-I'd [rather] be --paint--ing.+._.( Just four and a half weeks ago, he was sitting at the top of a slide on the planet Earth, staring up into the black night and punctured stars with not a thought on his mind. Four weeks ago, he was Nickolas James Zipo, a teenager of fourteen who was just about to start high school at what his adoptive mother considered to be all too young for her baby boy. He was brilliant beyond his years, as well as mature beyond his years. But until a stranger with blazing red eyes walked up to him as he slide down that slide, Nick thought that he was brilliant beyond his years. Now, knowing his actual age, it all seemed quite fitting.
Not much complaint was put into his abduction into this school. If anything, his Creators planned it to be so, for they knew of powers vested in this boy that even they, ancient and wise, could not bring out. And after four weeks of strange colors, talking mice and floating icicles, Nick was ready for anything. More presicely, he was in a state of shock which had left him speechless for three weeks and zombie-like for two and a half. Now, as he handed in his form, he pulled a rubber band off of his wrist to tie back his blue hair. Another feature of being who he was, natural blue hair that caught the light and shadow like no other. The school was too large. He prefered small, dark corners. But here, it was large and imposing. Reflexively, he shuddered and hunched inward. It didn't help his already slightly shorter stature. A girl addressed him and he snapped to focus his attention on her. It startled him to have someone so normal looking speak with him so fluidly. At least, normal after what Nick had endured. He nodded his head rapidly after she had finished speaking. It would take him some time to disgest what she had said and allow his brain to tune back to normal voice speaking. Four weeks and his native tongue already sounded so alien. His two-toned eyes twisted around while he searched for the proper response. Green and blue orbs dance about, glanced left and right at each new student until he saw one with a small dragon. "Oh! Okay. Erm... Thank... You..." he muttered choppily. Too used to telepathic Spirit language... Nick knew it would be suicide to ask for help, especially since he couldn't. It was so unlike him to instigate conversation also. Fourteen years of remembered life, plus an additional one-hundred and twenty that this time at Kao-Haru was supposed to make him recall... Nick could not think of an instance in which he spoke without being first addressed. He was the quiet one, the weird one with the affinity for stars... They just called him the Four-Eyed Devil. Those memories were not happy ones. Angrily, he resolved to at least approach the girl with the small dragon. His round glasses slipped down his nose in defience as he walked. ){.+.`. th*e sunset with my own blo-=-od __.|]

Ara was excited. There were so many new people and so many new sounds. The school was equipped with a language filter so that everyone could understand eachother, but for some students whith telepathic powers or language specialists like she was, they could consentrate enough to hear the actual words a person spoke. She liked to hear the fancy words and sounds people make more than she liked to listen to what they say. She had trouble understanding what people meant a lot of the time because her tribe, much like the dragons they cared for, didn't have things like irony or lies.
Ara had been lonely though. Wrel, the little red dragon she held, had only just hatched a week before and he was her only company since she'd arrived at the school. She was excited to make new friends, but afraid of being laughed at or worse... ignored.
When a blue haired boy walked up to her she thought maybe he was dragon kin at first, the way his hair glimmered and eyes seemed to catch the light. Wrel, told her he was different so she didn't try to use dragon speak with him. She staired up at him wide eyed for a moment, but he stayed silent.
"Sleep?" She said after a pause. "Eat food??" She added hopefully, and pointed at her mouth to assist her meaning. Talking with dragons was just so much easier than speaking with people. She blushed.

... He froze if front of her as she began to speak. The words that tumbled out of her mouth made not a drop of sense to him. It sounded like a mess of garabed notes, a rejected tune for a sympony. But, it was just because he was so used to the telepathic words of his Creators, not the spoken language of normal folk. After a time, it dawned on him that she didn't know what she was saying, just like he. Once more, he pushed up his rounded frames and took in a deep breath. He pointed to himself and said in an extremely unused voice, "Nick." He coughed for a bit afterwards at the discovery that his voice endured the long mind conversations and immense stress of tears. The boy with the odd blue hair would have whooped in joy as this discovery, but all he could manage now was a faint groan like straining gears. He grinned sheepishly as he lowered his pointed finger to his side. What could he say next? It was odd that both of them shared the same trait, a disability with normal, spoken language. It made him feel a bit more relaxed with the situation.
((And I'm sorry, that's all I can muster right now... There's not much I can do...))

Ara blinked at him a couple times. She realized right away that he was not accustomed to speaking with his voice. Ara's tribe had many ways to speak but the way used most often was with their hands and the schools language filter had no way to translate this method of comunication. She reached out her hand and placed one cool finger on the back of his hand.
"Nycko." She said trying hard to match all his sounds and smiled at how well she'd done. She then premoved her finger from his hand and placed it on her chest "Ara." She then held out the little dragon. "Wrel! Ara baby Wrel!" The little dragon binked it's prismatic eyes up at the booy and made a clicking sound. As it's mouth opened Nick could see little sparks in Wrels throat. Wrel, having said his hello to the boy, wrapped himself around the girl, diggin in his claws firmly, and went to sleep. Ara didn't even seem to notice the claws in her flesh. "Nycko, come come!" Ara said excitedly, grabbed Nicks hand and started her way through the crowd.
She pulled him out of the room, up some stairs, through some doors, until finally she stopped in a room filled with tables and chairs. In the very back there was table after table with just about every kind of food a person could imagine. Ara let go of Nicks hand and made her way over to a table with many kinds of cups and leaves and several pots of hot water. Ara picked a special selection of the leaves and put them in the pot, she placed a very pretty blue cup, a rough looking clay cup and the pot with the herbs onto a tray and made her way to a table. Once there sha poured out her special tea, and happily offered the blue cup to Nick.

... He accpeted the cup with some surprise in his two-tonded eyes. Never had he seen such quickness to hospitality in quite a while. It reassured him that not all here was going to be an adventure into a horror film. Thank you..." he managed after a bit of thought. English was getting a bit easier for him. But sadly, it meant that his telepathic spirit speak was going to go downhill instead. Something always had to be sacrificed for the development of another skill, he sopposed slowly as he sniffed the tea. It smelled sweet enough. And not wanting to be insulting, he took a drink. From his experiences with odd new things, it would have been a whole lot safer to duck and run, but that made eniemies a quite bit quicker than normal. Enimeies, he was taught, were a last reasort when dealing with people. Alwys look for a good way to get through things, fight was a last resort... It was an ancient ideal that so many honorable races clung too dearly. But, over the course of his odd history lessons from the Spirits, he noticed a tred. All those races that believed those ideas, died out. Rather quickly too. Thankfully, the tea was delicious and he finished it with a smile. One friend, he hoped.

While the two new friends shared there quite drink at the little table a tall rough looking man with slick black hair and even slicker black wings swooped into the room. It was obvious that he had not good intent as he spotted his target and bore down on it with increadable speed. As he reached one of the smaller tables at the back he reached out an eager hand and said "Got Cha!" and grabbed up a fist full of small cookie looking treats, and crammed them into his mouth.
Ara's eyes twinkled with mischeif when the man had entered and she looked at Nick placing a single finger to her lips in the universally know signal for 'quiet' and without waiting for his responce she slipped silently over to the winged man. Just as the man was about to cram another fist full of treats in his face Ara jumped out and yelled "RAWR!"
The black winged man was so startled he spit out little bits of the yummy lookin treat he was devouring and Ara fell to the floor laughing and holding her side.
