well if you fallow what the reserch you find in the game says, and sepharoths reaction to being in Nihbelehime (can never spell that one ), i would say that is his hometown or at least where he was born, he just never relized it (would he still of torched the place if he had).

does he have a true domain? i mean if you ppl actully payed attention to anything he was made...not born from jenova but made from her cells, unlike cloud and the rest of soldier who were injected with jenova's cells he was made purely of her cells thats why he was a god. as too where he was made i have no clue it could have been anywhere but i dought it was nibelheim...thats my theory and if you have 1 just let it out i wont say your wrong unless i can prove it.

He wasn't made of her cells. Hojo tells you that he 'donated the woman who was carrying his child over to the Jenova Project', the twisted freak. Which means, Sephy was already created when he was injected with Jenova's cells. Sephiroth was the first SOLDIER, and once Gast and Hojo saw how he turned out, they wanted to continue this. But of course, not every woman wanted to turn over her unborn child to Shin-Ra, and they contented themselves with those already born. As for Nibelheim being his hometown...actually, that's very likely. When you see Lucrecia collapse during Vincent's flashback, she's in Nibelheim. This scene is usually understood as taking place after she gave birth. And since she was already working in that town, she probably gave birth there, as well. However, she says she never got to hold him, which means he was probably whisked off to the labs in Midgar right after he was born. So...the only thing I can figure that would account for his memories of a place he has never knowingly been to before (and it can't be a coincidence that he says this while in the same inn Lucrecia seems to have spent a good deal of time in) is that the Jenova cells in his blood made him more aware of things early on in his life than a normal baby would be. I have a whole long theory about Sephiroth's life and death, but I won't go into that, as it has no place here 4laugh

And Ill take this instance to prove you wrong. Sephiroth was born, not of Jenova, but of Lucrecia. Hojo and Lucrecia had a child and Hojo injected Jenova cells into Sephiroth while he was still in the womb. That is how Sephiroth came to be, and this all took place in Nibelham, since thats where Jenova had been stored since they found it. This is all based off ingame material, so if you missed it, go back and play through again and find all the little tidbit things. They explain everything.
