It isn;t ENTIRELY about Buck-Tick.... but... it's about j-rock, so it can stay, right?

Anyway, I'm sure we've all had incidents with shallow minded people we are forced to spend a quarter of our lives with say something derrogatory (i can;t spell it...) or do something like writing on pictures, stealing binders, etc... just because of our love for J-rock. Here'a place where we can share our stories of asses in the school system that just can;t keep their mouths shut. It's also a place where you can get advice from other members about how to deal with the teasing.

I got it in 8th grade and I highly expect it in 9th. I know I'm going to be teased sometime this year, but the best method I found to fighting the teasing is the silent treatment and defiance. Definance meaning singing in the halls, plastering your locker and binder in pictures, or singing in the school talent show among other things. The sad thing is, for awhile I actually thought about giving up my fandom, I was ashamed of what I liked and I was tired of the negative remarks. Yet no one should ever give up somethign they like because of someone else, that was something I learned very quickly.

Be strong you guys~~

::konya mo hitori de nemuru no kai?::
D: YES.
Even my friends.. -_-
:3 Happens on the bus! Started when we came back from Christmas break.
Over the break, I got an mp3 player.. and three BT songs. So I put them on it, and told my two friends on the bus Ali and Deyanna about this band I loved so much. Ali was all "oO" Deyanna didn't seem to care. r-r
So later in the year, I got more B-T and I couldn't stop going on about it.
Ali: D: GIMMIE YOUR MP3 PLAYER
Hina: o-o; Whhyy
Ali: r-r You shouldn't listen to B-T!
Hina: DD: NO. I'LL LISTEN TO THEM! -does so.-
Ali: D<

And so he's being an a** about it.
I got my friend Jennifer into B-T; and she told ALL of her friends about them. xd She tells one girl (last month actually)
And she's all " :3 I like BUCK-TICK"
Friend: "..What kind ofband is that?"
Jenn: "It's J-Rock!"
Friend: Ewwwww.... D<
Jenn: ........

And whenever Jenn brings it up, they always think BT is some weirdo country band. r-r
I KNOW I'll get it in 9th grade. But I don't care.
:3 I don't need anyone else but Acchan, Imai, Hide, Uta and Toll!
(besides my friends, of course..)

Yeah

I know the feeling, people look at me funny when they ask me what my favorite bands are but I really don't care. I know I'm going to have people that pick on me and people that say "oh that's cool!" so I just expect both. All I need is my music, my family, and the few good friends I have.

I had this one kid who was a good friend of mine but started getting on me later in the year because i went on about the music i liked. This one girl i'm frtiends with goes on an on about Harry Potter all the time yet he doesn;t get annoyed... it's kinda weird. (he also likes HP but if I annoy him why doesn;t she?)

*sighs*

We just need to hang in there ^-^

I never thought about giving up my fandom...but sometimes I don't want to tell people what music I like.
Because of the -LoOk- *I know the o is O.*
Thats the worst.
When you first meet someone and that question comes up.
I try to avoid it most times.
I just say They would not know them.
It depends on the person I am talking to tho.
That look on there face like I am a freak or just stupid.
I am not trying to start a new wave or a
rebellion.
I just want to listen to the music I love.
I refuse to give up the things I like.
Just because some shallow minded person decideds to mock me.
Even tho I have yet to be badly abused for my like of music.
I still have suffered torment to some degree.

My advice is simply, when you old and on your death bed...can you look back and say you lived the way you wanted to?
Not being held back by others opinions?

Opinions are like a** holes.
Everyone has one.

Oh I know. DD:
LIKE TODAY.
I was showing my friend Ruith the Kagerou PV in World Geography class.
And this guy next to me is like..
"...EMO"
And I was sooooooo..
So
Verry
close
to beating his arse out the third floor window.
For calling Atsushi emo. -_-

But I have a BUCK-TICK shirt.. I made.
It says Aku no Hana in japanese on the front, and this girl in my english class loves it.
She thinks it's cool that I like japanese music.
xdd
ButI really do hate that look.

"Heey.. woah what's BUCK-TICK?"
"Japanese rock band.."
"....what? How do you know what they are saying?"
"Translations."
"Are you japanese, can you speak it?"
"No, and somewhat."
"oO; woah"

Wow. You guys are still so young. I had to deal with all this "omg is that a chick?" (then I'd say no and get a backlash.) business for about 6 years. Not that i'm a bajillion years older, mind you, but I am in college, and I still get the same ol' "you like chinese music?" "how do you know what they are saying?" and all those tiring questions that make you want to give them a pride-obliterating b***h slap.

Guys look at my binder with Mana-sama plastered all over it, and they say "omg, she's hot!". It's so hard not to laugh at them, even though I calmly tell them Mana-sama is a MAN. They look at my pictures of B-T back in the 80's, and they start criticizing, they look at pictures of Dir en grey from the Gauze era, and they start talking crap, they look at Pierrot, D, Ayabie, Scissor, Panic Channel, and they talk crap. I think that's all they can do since they don't know anything about them. It's very sad, really. It's the problem of small-mindedness.

In a sense, it's great to know about something far more interesting in the music world; the wonderful world of Jrock. Most people here don't know anything about it, and it gets tiresome nowadays with all these "emo/screamo/hardcore" kids running around, since they are taking a few ideas from the VK look. I get people criticizing me for being a ''fake hardcore kid" because of my haircut. Correct me if I am wrong, but the VK style has been around longer than these kids have.

In any case, I found the best way to deal with these "special" people is simply to ignore their questions. Or, turn questions against them. Ex. ... dumbass: "Omg, that's a MAN? GAY!" me: *points to picture of some rapper* "Omg, that's human? Grosssss!" It's a matter of attacking their likes, and once they get all huffy, close the argument with "Ah, there now, you don't like it when someone criticizes your tastes. So grow up." Finish with a darling smile, and walk away. If you're not in the mood to deal with them, give them a big creepy smile and laugh. They tend to back off when you give them a maniacal look. It's worked countless times for me. I had a reputation for being very intolerant of stupid people. Especially in high school, where it seems that everyone is out to prove their music is better than yours. Even if you're a smaller person, you can get your point accross through showing a confidence and pride in your musical tastes. No one really bugs you about it after that.

Ok, I am done with my essay. redface

xD Hah.
I should do that next time.. turn their questions around.
"Hey is that a chick or a guy?"
"-Points to a rapper- Hey, is thatsupposed to be music?"

Here's ANOTHER little encounter I had at school. xD
My friend was going through my iPod and she's all
"...Do you have anyblack people music on here?" (She's black, herself.)
"..Uhm no. I don't listen to it."
"...Jeez.. not even any white music.."
"I don't keep it on my iPod.."

r_r;
I suppose I have all asian music, don't I?

xD
Ohh~ I get that quite a bit at school.
Why just today while we were woeking on our childrens' play I was listening to my ipod. I finally got itunes to run on it so I changed the songs and stuff. I was singing to "Long Distance Call" Mrs Bush understood what I was saying and was all like "Thats sweet." But the other kids were looking at me like "OMFGWTF!?" Its alright though. Let them be dumb. 'cause I dun give a rats arse what they say. I got my firneds, and I got my ipod. I'm a happy muffin.

I guess we just gotta deal with the stupidity, ne?

Good advice though Kanpaku, and Hina, I'll definately have to remember those comebacks XDD
God, I'll never bring a Cure or Shoxx magazine to school again, THAT's for damn sure ><;;

This one kid had my friend Brandon's Ipod and he was listenign to Dir en Grey and I knew he was probably thinking "WTF?" the whole time and I was like "they're an awesome band" and he just kinda looked at me like "Umm...yeah...sure...."

It's rather amusing

Yes, VK has been around since the mid-80's, so it's WAY before these emo/screamo hardcore kids.
And yes, it is SO hard to not laugh when people think Mana's a girl.
