There should be three more homunculi because there were at least three humantransmutions that didnt have a homunculus to go to.
1.In the movie Ed tells the Al from the other side one of his adventures and says that that uranium bomb dude tries to bring back his workers.
2.The Sewing Life Alchemist's kid he tried to bring back a couple of times.
3.In the 2nd video game the main villian messed up alot on his transmutation before he got it right

With the game, it's not actually related to the anime or manga from what I hear.

1. You are correct, there should have been some homunculi but if there were, there were no pieces of the philosopher's stone or red water around so they could not have possibly survived so it does not really matter.
2. He just tries to bring back the daughter's body without thinking about her spirit. Without even considering it, the body is a doll/homunculus. That is what i think about that question anyways.
3. What she said is corect, that does not relate to the story.

both because when that one guy in the fma movie transmuted the workers he got sent to the other side so the al they have now may be a fake

The Sewing Life Alchemist didn't go to the gate, he used animals and other things to try and create his daughters body.

And homunculus can only be homunculus when they are fed red stones so that there body stays stable others wise theyre just a big bloody pile of bones and guts.

Well, you're right - but only if you consider the anime/game. In the anime, homunculus are created by an incomplete human transmutation. In the manga (which is the "original" version), they are created by injecting the Philosopher's Stone into a still-living human. Then, another personality takes over and the original one dies.
