What they did was pretty appauling, but still:

Violence only creates more violence.

It should be dealt in a manner of respect and honnor, and hopefully they will get what they deserve.

that is a bunch of BS, 15 months possibility of parole?! when someone who has never hurt anyone but has possession of drugs can get up to 10 years? our law system is pretty messed up

Yeah, Gay bashing in Australia have escalated hugely over the past year *sigh*

A lot of these areas are dodgy though, East St Kilda is gang zone and the guys sound like they came from the gang areas (not to be racist and stereotyping, but pretty much everyone who lives around that area are in foreign-based gangs).

Still, doesn't excuse anything.

Why the ******** is there still prejudice? It's like caveman stuff.

People who attack other people for no reason should be jailed for life, because they will do it again. And if they do it because someone is gay, or in a gay relationship, they should be cut shallow all over so all their blood runs out....or injected with a fatal disease....or something.

I understood the first half of what the woman said, but it almost seemed to me like she was really anti-religious. Then BAM!, she believes in God. Please don't take that the wrong way, it just surprised me a bit.

Discrimination about sexuality is bad. No better or worse than religion, ethnicity, or status. It's all really, really bad.

The first one is just evil. scream I hate the justice system nowadays! People get sentenced so stupidly when they do serious crimes...yet when they do something minor...they'll get several years in prison.

Ugh I hate it...like with the little six year old girl who'd been molested for four years in...I forget what state it is, but it's on the east coast...and the guy who did it got two months in jail. stare

Yet the woman who put a fake finger in the chilly in Wendy's got like...five years? What the ******** may be wrong on that one but I remember hearing something about that).

The next one...yeah...she seems like she's not for religion, but then starts talking about how she is...that's...weird.

Oh well...I guess people can be like that...

Though not all people who follow a religion will shun/hate/discriminate against homosexuals. But most will. crying

i couldn't agree more! the same kind of thing happens with sexual assault/rape cases... things have to be proved down to the letter.. guilty beyond probable cause i beleive is the phraise they like to use. and even then the sentence is shitty.

it should be like it used to be in Greece (at least i think it was greece... rolleyes )
you know "eye for an aye, toth for a tooth"! for anyone wondering, it kinda follows the rule, 'do unto other as you would have others do unto you'. basiclly, if a man kills your son, either intentional or unintentional, and you wish to reap justice, you may go and kill his son. if someone pops your tooth out, you do the same to them.. if someone pokes your eye out...... ah you get the drift.
in this case, theese men (well, boys) should have thier lives taken from them in the same way they took the lives of the two gay men they so bruitally murdered...
evil
and that is all form me for now 3nodding

That is completly wrong what they did

And the second one confused me slightly like other people on ehre are saying.

Religious people arn't so bad with the anit-gay thing now. Atleast around here...my teacher is VERY religious and he is all up for gays!
And then the youth club i go to is held by a local Church, and the vicar was sat there with me saying he thinks gays should be allowed to marry and everything. It was good to hear that from them

The thing that makes me the most sad is it happened to one of my friends just because he was bi. He had a female friend and her ex-bf thought it was his fault that they werent going out so he waited till my friend left school to go home. He knew he walked home by his self and began beating him up for no reason. It was so bad that when i called him to see if he was all right he had to go to the dentist and get his jaw wired shut.
