Honestly: I don't see why not. I may be baised because of the amount of anime I have watched, or how many manga books I read but I really dont see why it wouldnt be ok.
You just have to know what your reading, and enjoy the story. Dont be like the people who read pokemon and think if they wish hard enough they'll have monsters in little pokeballs one day to play with.
With any book or movie you have to know the context which it has, and if that is something you feel you should/are allowed to watch. Anime/Manga is no different than American comic books and animated TV shows.

Why shouldn't it be? There's nothing wrong with it. As long as you don't always choose the Older Teen mangas... It usually depends on what you read to see if it's okay, or not. Usually, Teen rated mangas are fine, but usually, you should check the contents. Now, if the manga and anime is basically porn, has too much violence (or other bad influences), or has a cuss word every five seconds, that's not okay. o.o;

Now, if the manga and anime is basically porn, has too much violence (or other bad influences), or has a cuss word every five seconds, that's not okay. o.o; its not different than watching media. its not different then reading english comic books. however anime isnt ment for kids in america. for example: Sailor Moon (in japan) is meant for "japanese" children. their cultur allows more.....visuals and cussing for kid shows up there. why? because in its original japanese, there is a bit of cussing in the show. theres nudity too....however the nudity they draw isnt very detailed or graphic. dragonballz is no different...neither is naruto. cuz both shows in their ORIGINAL japanese....they cuss ALOT and theres ALOT of violence in them......and those are kids shows meant for japanese children. however for america's standards for kid shows...they have to take alot out. my point is....if your mature and dont let your imagination run wild for you...youll be just fine watchingn it. from a christian point of view....this is no different than the "is watching Harry Potter okay?" argument because TONS of anime show magic and demons and what not.

I don't think it's much of a problem.
As long as you believe it's just fiction, then that's al it will be. As long as you don't believe everything in a series, then you should still be able to follow God. Once you start believing that there's an alternate dimension with samurai and demons, then you are being influenced by the world, and worldly objects. 3nodding
But yea, there's nothing wrong with anime or manga.

Manga is totaly okay but if you do read the older manga then you should be either mature enough to read it or dont read it at all.

There isn't anything wrong with anime. It is just like america. You just have to know what not to watch or read. Follow ratings on the manga if it says 13 and up... and your not 13 don't read it unless you have the okay from your parents.

I think that it's alright to watch anime and read it as well. I mean if you don't believe it all and know that it's fiction then it's all good.
besides if you're an artist reading and watching anime is a great way learn how atrists of that nature draw accordingly.

If you're watching anime on American television (with the exception of the Adult Swim time on Cartoon Network), they edit out all the nudity, some violence, and the cussing. It's basically like watching any other cartoon.

Anime and manga are mediums, meaning that they hold a wide and diverse level of content. Some animes/mangas are certainly not good to watch/read, just as some are. It is the content of the anime/manga that matters, not the style of drawing.

If you feel you are being influenced in a negative way be a tv show or a book you read, then you shouldn't read it. If it affects you to a point where you are hurting your relationship with God, then don't watch it or read it. It is a hard habit to break, because I love anime. I had to stop watching some of them whenever I became a christan because they gave me a negative influence. It's just not for anime, it's for all television shows and literature in general. No one can decide what makes you feel negative, you have to think about your relationship with God, and then the shows you watch, then weed out the bad ones.

Like everyone else said, Anime/Manga is okay to watch/read, as long as you know what is bad or not good for you. You have to understand that not everything in Anime/Manga is going to be simple and cute, a lot of it is very bad for you... @_@...

-Anything to do with magic, remember: white and black magic both belong to the devil, God only does blessings and miracles and the like.
-Anything that has to support the other religions (Like Pita Ten revolves with the belief of a past life)
