I bet he's grinning all the time because the Duchess feeds him freshly-caught halibut. I'd be grinning, too!
Or maybe salmon caviar... *salivates*
Any ideas?

Does it ever reach the other end of his head? Wouldn't his head fall off if it did?
Maybe he has an invisible person constantly scratching him behind the ears...

Rather demented, I'm guessing.
WAIT! If he growls when happy and wags his tail when angry, maybe he's smiling because he's very very upset over something? surprised

maybe he was smiling so much one day he couldn't NOT smile ever again. Like, maybe his mouth got stuck in the smiling position so that he could still talk, but not frown.

It's just because he's mad of course. When you've been mad for so long i can imagine that you'd smile in a physco way.

But he seemed so sane... cry But then, they do say crazy people seem saner than everyone else. ninja
Maybe he got plastic-surgery-gone-wrong? Maybe smiling all the time is the thing that drove him mad in the first place! eek
Which came first, the grin or the madness? stressed

Someone should draw a manga about it!
We need more villains. Any ideas?

Should the Red Queen be good, bad, or inbetween? She's usually portrayed as leaning t'ward bad.

You know, this may not be the perfect manga, but it could be the perfect fanfiction....

It would probably be taken-by-surprise if she were at least surreptisiously helpful to Alice. Hmm, that gives off an idea, mixing up how bad or good people are, take some of the good and make them bad, some of the bad, good, although, that is all fairly relative in Wonderland.
