What is your favorite manga series? Who are your favorites authors? This thread is dedicated to the wonderful world of mangas!
I for one adore Kaori Yuki (Angel Sanctuary, Count Cain, God Child, ...) and Yuu Watase (Ayashi no Ceres, Fushigi Yugi, ...). I also enjoy reading Ken Akamatsu (AI non stop, Love Hina, ...) and Clamp^-^.
Random side note: Kosuke Fujishima rules for Tales of Symphonia!

Japanese names are a little challenging for me to remember but I love all the authors you mentioned. I've read a couple of their works.

Favorite author has to be Rumiko Takahashi. Ranma, Inu-Yasha, Maison Ikkoku.. i love (most of) her work. Have you seen her horror series "mermaid forest" or "mermaid scar"? Creepy stuff. Inu-Yasha was first billed as a gothic horror comedy when it came out. i don't think anyone has ever written a horror comedy since then.
I also read "blade of the Immortal" "fruits basket" "kare Kano" "peach Girl" "kill me kiss me" (well, i stopped reading that one actually, because ) "Hana Kimi (is the same premise, except done better) "Alice 19th" "Naruto" (and everything else in shonin jump) "Full Metal Alchemist" "Chobits" "oh My Goddess" "kodacha" .. I'm sure there is more but these (except Kodacha) are the only ones that are still ongoing series.
I have been reading Manga for a long time, and have "Maison Ikkoku" in comic book form whee which may mean nothing to you but is kinda neat to me rofl

Anjeni Favorite author has to be Rumiko Takahashi. Ranma, Inu-Yasha, Maison Ikkoku.. i love (most of) her work. Have you seen her horror series "mermaid forest" or "mermaid scar"? Creepy stuff. Oooh, I agree. Rumiko Takahashi is a genius! I don't think I have heard of either of the mermaid series... though I'll look into it. Anjeni I also read "blade of the Immortal" "fruits basket" "kare Kano" "peach Girl" "kill me kiss me" (well, i stopped reading that one actually, because ) Why?... My friend is going to lend me the series though, so no spoilers, please... sweatdrop Anjeni "Hana Kimi (is the same premise, except done better) "Alice 19th" "Naruto" (and everything else in shonin jump) "Full Metal Alchemist" "Chobits" "oh My Goddess" "kodacha" .. Yay for Alice 19th! Are you pro Kyo and Frey? I thought it was Ah My Goddess? Is it Oh My Goddess in english?

Like I can chose my favorite manga! mad I love almost everyone I read, but currently I'm checking out Comic Party if anyone is interested. And I love God Child! It comes in Shojo Beat and the pictures are absolutely breath-taking, not to mention the foreboding aura it goes for is pretty invigorating as well. blaugh
But if I was forced to read any manga series over and over again... Give me Takahashi's Ranma anyday. >.>

I like Mars and there is this other manga that i was reading but i forgot the name...it had to do with a present day girl getting pulled into a puddle of water by an evil queen in the past. The queen wants to use the girl for a sacrifice for evil. But the girl got this really hot..really hot prince looking after her. I only read like 2 or 3 of them....did anyone read something like this I think it started with a 'R' was it Rain something...i don't know.

I have discovered that I adore "Parmi eux-Hana kimi", by Hisaya Nakajo... it's hilarious and very light! (The story of a girl leaves the US to follow her idol to an all guy school...) "Eden: It's an endless world!" , by Hiroki Endo, is also very awesome! (though it's a completely different style from Parmi eux)

I can't really say much since I only have one series that I have fully read(Ranma 1/2) but I recently read FMP Vol 2. I think I will probably start Rurouni Kenshin soon though.
