heh... its impossible because you wind up passing out, and then your brain automatically kicks into breathing mode.
They supposedly train/trained US Marines to be able to do this for two reasons:
1) Keep from talking if captured
2) Find the surface of water when you cant tell which way is up.
... I'm not sure how the second one worked, unless they found out how to wake themselves up too... *shrug*
