I heard something about Ruby being immortal if you enter the party with two or three characters standing, so you had to kill off your other two party members. Then KotR with maxed Quadra Magic materia linked to it?

its not impossible just have someone with a mime or both teammates and keep on doing knights of the round

I equipped everyone with a Ribbon from morphing a Master Thonberry or Ho-chu... whichever you find more fun.

My party consists of Cloud, Cid, Barret(in that order)

Make sure all three have their fourth limit break

Kill off two characters before you go into battle. In my case, I killed Barret and Cid.

Make sure last standing is in Fury(induced by Hyper)

Check Equipment, make sure you have:
2x Summon and cast KOTR twice
Mime(the 2x summon)
2x Item(for double phoenix down)
E.Skill with White Wind(if you lack Ribbons, but also good for healing HP)
Final Attack hooked up with Phoenix(VERY USEFUL)
All Materia with Time

Cloud was my last standing, so I got his limit break.

When you get into battle, Ruby will automatically throw his fingers in the ground(since two party members are KO'd and he won't throw out the last standing). Use Omnislash with Cloud, and then revive Cid and Barret with Pheonix Downs. Who ever's turn is next, have him use a MegaElixer(If you have any, or like to use 2x Item duplication glitch). Throw a Hyper on the revived fellows.

Hyper has great advantages, and of course, disadvantages. With Hyper, it puts you into Fury, which allows you to get your Limit Break quicker, but you take more damage... thus your limit guage going up faster.

Using Tranquilizer has the reverse effect, puts you into sadness, and your defense goes up, thus your limit guage going up slower... going on.

Have someone cast Haste with the All materia connected, putting each person into haste for quicker turns. Now, lay into the ******** b*****d! Go to your person with 2x summon(make sure he's not the one equipped with Mime) and cast KOTR twice, and have the next use Mime... I do a LOT of leveling up in the Crator, and when I get to this fight, I usually have Mime Mastered once or twice so I can keep the KOTR casting up.

That's where 2x Item comes in handy. Duplicate your Elixers, go deep inside the Crator, and fight 2 Magic Jars who keep asking you for an Elixer. The Experience is GREAT! it'll get you from level ... 50-99 in a few hours! Make sure you have weapons with triple AP rate, because Magic Jars give you 1000 AP per kill. Also there are "Bouncer"s down in the area, they come in groups of three, when you get into a battle with a group, when you kill them off, you will get 2400 AP ... so with Triple AP rate on a weapon, not much work will have to be done to master much materia.

If you can keep up with all that, and make sure you heal once in a while so your characters don't get too messed up... and besides, he casts Ultima when he dies... so it's good to keep them in high spirits. And Final Attack with Phoenix comes in handy there.

i didn't use final attack+pheonix, because it heals him, and i don't die, he had 1 atack and it was ruby flame, which healed cloud.

hp absorb will heal your caracter for 10000+ hp before he casts ultima.

That's so weird, because he normally does about 5,000 to my team.

if you do the stat boosting. You can get all your stats all the way up to 250. My cloud has 250 mg Def and 250 def and a 240 attack without the final weapon. i beat ruby weapon in 6 turns
