I noticed on my guild invite that it says "no 1337 posts". Pardon my ignorance, but what is that?

If I'm correct, 1337 posts refer to the type of speak used by VERY uncivilized n00bs. Try....... 'HAY!11111!!! GLD PLZ!!!111!' And things like that. Very agitating.

I think it's another way to say Leet... "Leet (or 1337, l33t, l33+, etc, derived from the word "Elite") is a linguistic phenomenon associated with the underground culture centered on telecommunications, manifested primarily on the Internet. For the purposes of this text, leet is defined as the corruption or modification of written text. For example, the term "leet" itself is often written "l33t" or "1337". Teehee. That was actually the first time I encounter Leet speak myself. I had only heard of it from friends before that. I find it fun to decode, but probably only because I had decoded it. Otherwise I'm sure I would have been very annoyed. And I doubt that deciphering Leet has anything to do with being creative... for me, at least. I think [Edit: it] has more to do with having a lot of free time and enjoying puzzles similar to that razz
